It has been so long since I actually get my hands dirty with new creation of crafts and arts!
But this time it is very meaningful and important to start again because it is a 2-in-1 celebration
an opportunity to create memorabilia for a 52 years celebration, at the same time the proceeds go to a children's home!
also in collaboration with @dbfoodbank
Who has 52 years of celebration of marriage these days? It is becoming rare and @philiprenelee have gone through together so much for the last 3 years have been really challenging time
- they went through Covid together
- they both had 3 surgeries in separate occasions the last 10 years
... and @littlenewthings, @eric.gundam, and @melissa.cheoh and many more relatives have witnessed how they fought through from one hurdle to another.
@eric.gundam being the head of the pack too have gone through much health challenges and to see the both seniors pushing through gave him much encouragement; and because when they had 50th anniversary was during lockdown, nothing could be celebrated. Now with the endemic phase is finally setting in close to a year with lesser hiccups, it is time to celebrate!
But we didn't want to just have a meetup wedding celebration, as we wanted to have also make some impact in their name for the orphanage the @dbfoodbank (aka @gtpjfoodbank) have been helping.
With lockdowns of the last 2 years, the funds were going lower and lower and the children's home hoped that they could run a charity bazaar again to raise funds; with a tweak!

With the aid of digital age, instead of some usual paper tearing coupons, the creative team of Glad Tidings PJ have come up with a "prepaid card" (token) that can be topped up with preset amount and used during the Bazaar.
So instead of just asking friends to buy the coupon (and limited for just localised friends and family), why not turning it into and NFT?
Good thing is that @opensea currently actually has a special encrypted part of the #NFT where it can link to different addons, so I have decided to make it into a very special order form section for a REAL thank you gift!
Better still, it is included with postage!
The only thing is that it can only used once. Which is I am still trying to figure out how to limit it.

Currently I have just designed the thank you gift of 52th marriage anniversary for @philiprenelee and they have gracefully fork out 2 extra as part of the NFT's special physical gift.
The other physical gift tied to the NFT will be revealed in later stage as I update here on HIVE
(as there will be 2 types of designs as well)
All the NFT proceeds will be used for
- postage cost
- cover basic material expenses
- balance to the Charity bazaar (including the base token price itself)
We are currently estimating around 0.008 ETH or 24.3 HIVE (13.25 HBD) per NFT, and anyone around the world that Malaysia can send to, are allowed to purchase the NFT. I'll definitely send it over, via registered mail.
So far this is going to be the plan and hopefully by 2nd week of September all the physical thank you gifts will be completed and we can actually put the coupons on sale as an NFT.
Local shipping will start before the Charity Bazaar; while international shipping will start after the Charity Bazaar, which is from 20th September onwards.

As far as I know, I think I cannot send items to war torn countries only (due to lack of postage service)
All the NFT sales and expenses will be tracked and updated on @dbfoodbank account for clearer sharing.
