Hello friends at Hive, I was inactive for two weeks because I was concentrating on an old project. Mazinger Z is one of my favorite anime, when I was a boy I imagined being inside it and also having a toy made by my own hands. He had started building a Mazinger Z robot some time ago but had abandoned it due to lack of time. Now thanks to Hive's opportunity to share my arts and crafts with many people. I have been working hard over the last two weeks to finish it. I hope you like it, I will try to be brief with the explanation although it will be difficult for me. Let's get started!
Hola amigos de Hive, estuve dos semanas inactivo porque me concentré en un antiguo proyecto. Mazinger Z de es de mis animes preferidos, cuando era un chico imaginaba estar dentro de el y tambien tener un juguete hecho por mis propias manos. Hace tiempo había comenzado a construir un robot de Mazinger Z pero lo había abandonado por falta de tiempo. Ahora gracias a la oportunidad de Hive de poder compartir con muschas personas mis trabajos de artes y manualidades. Estuve a lo largo de estas últimas dos semanas trabajando arduamente para terminarlo. Espero que les guste, trataré de ser breve con la explicación aunque me será dificil. Comencemos!
Process
When I resumed this project I had already built some parts such as the head, torso and shoulders, at that time I lacked material and also time to continue but now I could get many cans and for this project I allocated 35 empty soda cans.
Cuando retomé este proyecto ya había construido algunas partes como la cabeza, el torso y los hombros, en aquella oportunidad me faltó material y tambien tiempo para continuar pro ahora pude conseguir muchas latas y para este proyecto destine 35 latas de sodas vacías.
The first parts that I decided to do were the arms and hands, as I had the templates for a long time, I think that since 2016 it was much easier and the work is well ahead. I was cutting each part and with super glue I was joining, at the same time I had an image of the Great Mazinger to guide me and not make mistakes.
Las primeras partes que decidí hacer fue los brazos y las manos, como ya tenía las plantillas desde hace mucho tiempo, creo que desde el 2016 fue mucho mas facil y se adelanta bastante el trabajo. Fui cortando cada parte y con super pegamento fui uniendo, al mismo tiempo tenía una imagen del Gran Mazinger para guiarme y no cometer equivocaciones.
Then I continued with the legs first the upper part and then the lower part, for the latter it was difficult to find large cans to be able to make the legs, luckily I found 2 cans of 500ml that served me perfectly and so I could do both legs without any trouble.
Luego continué con las piernas primero la parte superior y luego la parte inferior, para esta ultima fue dificil encontrar latas grandes para poder hacer las piernas, por suerte encontre 2 latas de 500ml que me sirvieron a la perfección y así pude hacer ambas piernas sin ningun problema.
Then I had to make the boots, I could not find the original templates so I had to draw them again from the beginning calculating that I will have a size according to the legs. I was able to achieve it and after molding them and gluing them with glue I was able to get the legs ready
Después me tocó hacer las botas, no encontraba las plantillas originales así que tuve que dibujarlas de nuevo desde el principio calculando que me quedará de una medida acorde con las piernas. Pude lograrlo y luego de molderlas y pegarlas con pegamento pude obtener ya las piernas listas.
In the process a big problem occurred, some pieces did not fit because the measurements were missing by a few millimeters so I had to redraw the torso and rebuild it in a more exact way. Then I proceeded to paint the parts of the Great Mazinger that are black that stand out with the silver of the cans on the inside.
En el proceso ocurrió un gran problema, algunas piezas no encajaban porque las medidas fallaban por algunos milímetros así que tuve que dibujar de nuevo el torso y volver a construirlo de una forma mas exacta. Después procedí a ir pintando las partes del Gran Mazinger que van de color negro que resaltan con el plateado de las latas por su parte interna.
At this point in my work I was very excited to see how the parts were almost complete, it was like making a dream come true. I was working until the hours of the night since the emotion prevented me from continuing. Seeing that there was little left to finish seeing each part of the Great Mazinger painted and fitting perfectly.
En este punto de mi trabajo estaba muy emocionado al ver como las partes estaban casi completas, era como hacer un sueño realidad. Estuve trabajando hasta en las horas de la noche ya que la emoción me impedía seguir. Al ver que faltaba poco para terminar al ver cada parte del Gran Mazinger pintada y encajando a la perfección.
The last details that were missing was the emblem of the Great Mazinger that is red and where it fires its photon beam. I also made some arrangements to the head that, because it was stored for so long, was spoiling.
Los últimos detalles que faltaban era el emblema del Gran Mazinger que va de color rojo y por donde dispara su rayo fotónico. También hice a unos arreglos a la cabeza que por estar guardada por tanto tiempo se fue estropeando.
FINAL WORK
This is how the final work of the Great Mazinger has been, it should be noted that this is the model that came after Mazinger Z was cut into pieces by one of the evil robots of Doctor Hell, perhaps many remember that episode, one of the saddest .
