Hola comunidad Hive, especialmente a la comunidad de @Build-it, hoy les voy a contar cómo es que terminé construyendo una alas para un hermoso ángel.
La historia es que nuestro gato Dalilo como cualquier otro gato, siempre está trepando y saltando, él tiene un lugar dónde le encanta estar, cerca de ese lugar tenemos una mesita con nuestro ángel San Miguel Arcángel, en casa nunca nos falta.
Hello Hive community, especially the @Build-it community, today I'm going to tell you how I ended up building a wing for a beautiful angel.
The story is that our cat Dalilo like any other cat, is always climbing and jumping, he has a place where he loves to be, near that place we have a little table with our angel St. Michael the Archangel, at home we never miss him.
He is Dalilo and that is his special place.
Entonces me puse manos a la obra, y tomé cartón, pega, tijera, pintura y un poco de escarcha para comenzar a construir las alas de nuestro ángel.
Dalilo to get to his special place, he asks for help to our angel, jumping on top of him to take impulse and get to where he wants, so our angel's wings could no longer with the weight and Dalilo's jumps.
So I got to work, and I took cardboard, glue, scissors, paint and some frosting to start building our angel's wings.
Comencé buscando ideas en nternet de la forma de las alas y la que más me gustó fué ésta, lo hice a mano alzada.
I started looking for ideas on the internet for the shape of the wings and the one I liked the most was this one, I did it freehand.
La primera me sirvió de patrón para hacer la segunda y que las dos quedaran iguales.
I used the first one as a pattern to make the second one, so that both would look the same.
Luego hice como una especie de plumas para las alas, sé que no parecen plumas pero es una idea y ya verás como quedó.
Then I made some kind of feathers for the wings, I know they don't look like feathers but it's an idea and you'll see how it turned out.
De estas hice varias de distintos tamaños pero la misma cantidad para ambas alas.
Of these I made several of different sizes but the same amount for both wings.
A cada una le doblé una pestaña para pegarla porque no quería que quedara totalmente pegada sino que quedaran un poco sueltas para que las alas no fueran totalmente planas sino que tuvieran un poco de dimensión.
I bent a tab on each one to glue them together because I didn't want them to be totally glued, but a little loose so that the wings wouldn't be totally flat but would have a little dimension.
Comencé a pegar una por una de arriba hacia abajo, hasta llenar toda el ala de éstas plumas.
I started gluing one by one from top to bottom, until I filled the entire wing with these feathers.
No las llené hasta abajo porque ahí es dónde tenía pensado unirlas una vez que las terminara.
I didn't fill them all the way to the bottom because that's where I planned to join them once I finished them.
Las pinté de blanco y mientras la pintura seguía fresca, iba rellenando con escarcha para que se pegara con la misma pintura.
I painted them white and while the paint was still fresh, I filled them with frosting so that it would stick with the same paint.
Usé escarcha azúl y dorada, sólo que en la foto no se aprecia mucho el brillo, pero creanme que quedaron hermosas con la escarcha.
I used blue and gold frosting, only in the picture you can't really see the glitter, but believe me they were beautiful with the frosting.
Las uní con un alambre que tenía que es muy fácil de manipular porque no es tan duro y se me hizo muy fácil de ir doblando con las mismas manos para poder unir mis alas.
I joined them with a wire that I had that is very easy to manipulate because it is not so hard and it was very easy to bend with the same hands to join my wings.
Con el mismo alambre sostuve las alas al ángel.
With the same wire I held the wings to the angel.
Y así quedó nuestro ángel y sus nuevas alas, pero como ya sabemos que Dalilo seguirá pidiendo la ayuda de nuestro ángel, ésta vez sostuve el ángel a la pared con un alambre y un tornillo y así evitar otro accidente con nuestro ángel y nuestro Dalilo.
And so was our angel and his new wings, but as we already know that Dalilo will keep asking for the help of our angel, this time I held the angel to the wall with a wire and a screw to avoid another accident with our angel and our Dalilo.
