Today's turn is to introduce a little butterfly called
Eufala skipper or rice leaffolder (Lerodea eufala) is small in size, it can be found from the north of the United States and travels throughout Mexico until it reaches South America.

El turno de hoy es presentar a una pequeña mariposilla llamada
Saltarina Blanca Nublada(Lerodea eufala) es de un tamaño pequeño, se puede encontrar desde el norte de estados unidos y recorre todo mexico hasta llegar a Sudamérica.

They feed on nectar and it is more possible to observe them during the mornings fluttering between the different flowers, they have a fast and agile flight, which is why they earned the name skippers in English. They have prominent eyes and separate antennae that end in a curve.

Se alimentan de nectar y es mas posible observarlas durante las mañanas revoloteando entre las diferentes flores, tiene un vuelo rápido y ágil por ello se ganaron el nombre skippers en inglés. Tienen ojos prominentes y antenas separadas que terminan en curva.

They are very fast and showy, they are usually ocher and gray colors although there are some orange ones, with great difficulty I managed to make some shots while she was drinking nectar from some flowers in my garden.

Son muy rápidas y vistosas, usualmente son de colores ocre y grises aunque hay algunas anaranjadas, con gran dificultad logré hacer algunas cuentas tomas mientras ella tomaba nectar de unas florecillas en mi jardín.

Whenever I see this butterfly I love to touch it. I don't know how to explain this, but when you touch it, it is part of its skin sheds off.

Estas pequeñas mariposas son sumamente curiosas, tuviste mucha suerte de que esta se convirtiera en toda una modelo para la cámara, pues, son muy asustadizas y su vuelo es muy rápido, de seguro le diste un flash para dejarla inmóvil jajaja. Te mando un abrazo SalticiLourdes.
