Good morning to all my dear readers and all art lovers in general, welcome once again to my art blog and today I want to share with you another drawing in the magical style, this is Matelus, the Wizard Sage of Mount Algruanur, which is one of the highest mountains in the village where our character was born, Matelus is a great sorcerer who in his youth was one of the greatest practitioners of Magic, he had extensive knowledge of sorcery, but also had unique skills which he was able to combine with his spells to make it more lethal if desired; After the death of his beloved, who was his lifelong love, and who was killed during one of Matelus' long journeys, our sorcerer decided to isolate himself in the mountains of Mount Algruanur for the remorse of not having been with her to protect her. Here I will leave you the process of this drawing that I hope you like it very much:
Buenos días tengan todas mis queridos lectores y a todos los amantes del arte en general, sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog de arte y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes otro dibujo al estilo mágico, se trata de Matelus, el Sabio Hechicero del Monte Algruanur, la cual es una de las montañas más altas de la aldea donde nació nuestro personaje, Matelus es un grandioso hechicero que en su juventud fue uno de los más grandes practicantes de la Magia, poseía amplios conocimientos sobre la hechicería, pero además contaba con habilidades únicas las cuales era capaz de combinar con sus encantamientos para hacerlo más letales si así lo deseaba; luego de la muerte de su amada la cual fue su amor de toda la vida, y que fue asesinada durante uno de los largos viajes de Matelus, nuestro hechicero decidió aislarse en las montañas del monte Algruanur por el remordimiento de no haber estado con ella para protegerla. Aquí les dejare el proceso de este dibujo que espero les guste mucho:
PROCESS / PROCESO
First of all I focused on drawing the character of Matelus with an appearance of a mature man, about 50 years old approximately and with long hair and beard, because being isolated in the mountains I neglected his appearance a little, after having the structure there if I went to paint everything very very well, for this character I decided to use new colors, I took some skin colors that I do not normally use and edit them to achieve a new appearance in this character.
Primero que nada me enfoque en dibujar al personaje de Matelus con una apariencia de hombre ya maduro, como de unos 50 años aproximadamente y con un cabello largo y barba, pues al encontrase aislado en las montañas a descuidado un poco su apariencia, luego de tener ya la estructura allí si me fui a pintar todo muy muy bien, para este personaje decidí utilizar nuevos colores, tome unos colores de piel que no uso normalmente y los edite para lograr una nueva apariencia en esta personaje.
To the details of the face I put a lot of effort and I wanted them to be quite special, I decided to use some reddish tones for the eyes mixed with some purple tones for the inner part; then I continued with the clothing of our wizard, being Matelus a hermit wizard I decided to paint him a kind of long tunic of deep red color, then with other shades of red I was detailing and giving the shape I wanted to this tunic, I made it quite large but also a little tight to his body.
A los detalles del rostro les puse bastante empeño y quise que quedaran bastante especiales, decidí utilizar unos tonos rojizos para los ojos mezclados con unos tonos purpuras para la parte interna; luego proseguí con la vestimenta de nuestro hechicero, al ser Matelus un mago ermitaño pues decidí pintarle una especie de túnica larga de color rojo profundo, luego con otros tonos de rojo fui detallando y dándole la forma que quería a esta túnica, la hice bastante grande pero también un poco ajustada a su cuerpo.
For the hair I took my time because I wanted to give him the appearance of a man of mature age, but without looking like an old man, I painted the hair about shoulder length and little by little I created the details that made it look more realistic and I did the same with the beard; then I focused on painting the staff of Matelus, this staff is what our wizard uses to channel all his power, you could say it's like his magic wand and I decided to paint it with a look of old wood with small details of relief.
Para el cabello me tome mi tiempo pues quise darle la apariencia de hombre de edad madura, pero sin que pareciera un anciano, pinte el cabello más o menos hasta la altura de los hombros y poco a poco fui creando los detalles que lo hicieran ver más realistas e hice los mismo con la barba; luego me enfoque en pintar el bastón de Matelus, este bastón es el que utiliza nuestro hechicero para canalizar todo su poder, se podría decir que es como su varita mágica y decidí pintarla con una apariencia de madera antigua con pequeños detalles de relieve.
Finally what I did was to create the scenery of the Mountains of Mount Algraunur, I decided to paint some small rock formations behind Matelus as if he was on top of them, for these rocks I first established a base with a couple of colors and then little by little I was giving the rocky texture I wanted; and finally what I did was to create some small clouds both behind and in front in blue tonality with the mode (SHINE) to give an even more magical and gloomy atmosphere to my drawing, in this way it seemed to me that everything was well complemented.
Ya para el final lo que hice fue crear el escenario de las Montañas del Monte Algraunur, decidí pintar unas pequeñas formaciones rocosas detrás de Matelus como si él se encontrara en la cima de ellas, para estas rocas establecí primero una base con par de colores y luego poco a poco le fui dando la textura rocosa que deseaba; ya por ultimo lo que hice fue crear algunas pequeñas nubes tanto atrás como delante en tonalidad azul con el modo (SHINE) para dar una atmosfera todavía más mágica y tenebrosa a mi dibujo, de este modo me pareció que quedo bien complementado todo.
