Onofiok Esong creates monochromatic and hyper-realistic masterpieces with just ballpoint pen and paper, it takes him approximately 200hrs to finish a complete piece and uses as many pen as possible most especially when it starts bleeding out due to constant friction.
He creates incredible portrait using these shading techniques
*Hatching: this is used when shading a region of light tone
*Crosshatching: this is done when Stokes are laid in different directions to create deep tones, Shadow and illusion of depth
Scribbling: this always comes at the finishing touches to achieve surface details
It requires lot of skills, patience and consistency to draw with pen being a difficult medium in art with no known erasing tool just in case of mistakes
Ever since he started as a professional contemporary artist in 2019, He had attempted some amazing abstract and commission works which can be found in homes and galleries.
