How's the real situation now where you live?
I don't think I believe the news much. In fact, I don't even watch it no more. I tend to keep track of the numbers to help with what I am going to do next as I'm not exactly in my home country and unfortunately, I can't really stay anywhere for too long due to the visa. Well, I actually have high hope a lot of countries would make some exceptions for a homeless traveler like myself to stay somewhere longer than we're allowed because of this coronavirus pandemic.

A YouTube viewer recommend I look out for the growing numbers around the world to help me decide what to do next like a smart informative person, not a dumb one.
I was in a lockdown like, literally a lockdown where you don't go out at all. At most, order a sushi delivery and that seemed to be the most joyful thing during the 3 weeks. What? Yes, 3 whole freaking weeks. It's truly social-distancing.
I was wondering how's the outside world. Was it actually so quiet as people actually do care and #stayhome? Were they still walking on the street just like the normal days? Were all the restaurants and cafe actually closed or I'm missing out during the lockdown?
Are we really self-quarantine in Valparaiso, Chile?
I was surprised, most of the shops are open. So many people were walking on the street. There are busses running. The markets are full of people. We could even get street food from one small stall and eat it just there. Dumb move, I know. I was hungry!
Ah! coronavirus pandemic and social-distancing. There are so many people on the street still though, most of them wear masks! Some of them wear the extreme version. Those were adorable.

Difficult time.. I get it
It's difficult time for everyone including myself. The restaurants are also affected big time. We came across a few when we went to buy fish at a fish market. All say takeaway only. Then they continue 'You can sit in front of the restaurant though. Also, we still serve beer'. What was that? Sound funny enough and we actually went for the deal.
Dining right outside the restaurant with our food boxed up. A bottle of beer served along with it and you could actually use the bathrooms #lol

Less jobs, worse economics, people are desperate
I think for those SMEs and all the paycheck to paycheck or those who actually live day by day, I have always had this question 'What the hell are they going to do?'. I feel bad but there's nothing I can do. I myself try to find the best deal around as I feel like I need to slow down on my spending a bit. I don't know what's going to happen and when this all is going to end. We all don't.
I got a really good deal on accommodation at the moment. I pay $35 A WEEK for a spacious private bedroom with one queen bed, sofa bed and one bunk bed + private bathroom that's cleaned every single day. Not to mention, the terrace! Don't blame me, blame the god damn virus.
As long as there's natural daylight and it keeps being sparkling clean just like this, I think I will be here for a while :)
Anyways, if you remember my friends from the same hostel who got the covid-19 and needed to moved into Airbnb a few weeks back. They're all fine now so I texted to let them know about this accommodation deal. That's how I found out the news! They had planned on staying for months till the coronavirus pandemic ends but when I called them, there were on their way back to the US...
I freaked out for a few hours and really thought of going home. Look back to the spacious bright room I got, I think I just need to calm down and be more careful when going out. So, how's the real situation now where you live?

In Iran things are not stable and people are starting to come out and this actually can blow the virus back up.
Just hoping for the best and trying to stay positive with looking at your food posts! Although they make me feel hungry! :D
That would be terrifying been in another country on your own be careful when you go out don't carry anything valuable and just a few dollars if possible. Stay safe !!

It's a lovely room, but wouldn't it be safer to go home now instead of being on your own? Or are there no flights out?
There are a few a month but it would cost me quite a bit. Not willing to pay as I think I'm already running low :/
