Greetings fellow artisans!!! A belated happy birthday to all Pisceans, especially to my sister-in-law, a friend, my husband and my youngest son. This zodiac sign is between 19 February and 20 March; which is why @hivediy dedicated this edition of Actívate to it.
I have not been very active on Hive for personal reasons, but I post whenever I can. On this occasion, I owe this publication to a young friend, whom I cherish like a son, and I dedicate this cotillion to him; it's the gift I owe him; obviously I have to buy the knick-knacks. I spent several days thinking about the gift, until it came to my mind to realise this project. I wanted something very manly and I came up with a dinner jacket.
Once I was sure of what I wanted to do, I had to figure out how to include the sign and adapt it; for this I had the idea of a top hat to put the Pisces sign on. I was undecided about the design of this horoscope sign, that is, whether to make the two little fishes or the symbol that looks like the letter ‘H’. I opted for the little fishes, but only the outline, to be placed on the hat.
The other point was the colour or colours to work with, so I didn't want to use the typical black colour for the costume, so I went for the combination of silver, white, grey and black. Considering the material, whenever I make a craft project, I always use what I have to mitigate costs. I needed legal size foami, but I didn't have any, so I used letter size.

Smoking Cotillion
To make this cotillion you need: black, white, silver and grey frosted foami, a matt grey foami, liquid silicone, a silicone stick and gun, scissors, a tin can and the design of the Pisces sign on paper.
The green foami strip was not used
The steps to follow are as follows:
1- Take a piece of white foami and stick it on the can. This is what serves as a shirt.
2- Line the tin with the frosted grey foami. I didn't have enough foami and I had to tie it together.
3- Transfer the pisces design to the grey frosted foami and cut it out.
4- Cut a 6 cm wide strip along the length of the silver frosted foami to make a cylinder that would be used for the hat; to do this, I spliced it with a piece of paper.
5- Then, I drew a circle of paper the size of the circumference of the cylinder. To trace on the silver foami.
6- Draw a circle that includes the other one and cut out the inner circle.
7- The drawn outline is glued onto the cylinder, leaving a little space left over. Here I would put the green strip that appears in the photo, but it wasn't necessary.
8- Glue the circumference to the top of the cylinder, forming the hat.
9- Cut a strip 1.5 cm wide and the length of the hat. Then, centre the figure of the sign and glue it.
10- Finally, glue the lapels of the suit, the bow and the buttons; and we have our dinner jacket cotillion with top hat ready.
This initiative was for the sign of Pisces, so by this time we have already entered another sign, but I did not want to miss the opportunity to show this work that was made with much affection for everyone and especially for my friend.

He estado poco activa en Hive por motivos personales, pero publico cada vez que puedo. En esta ocasión, debo esta publicación a un joven amigo, a quien aprecio como un hijo, y le dedico este cotillón; es el regalo que le debo; obviamente tengo que comprar las chucherías. Pasé varios días pensando en el regalo, hasta que vino a mi mente a realizar ese proyecto. Quería algo muy varonil y se me ocurrió un smoking.
Ya segura de lo que quería hacer, tocaba imaginar cómo incluir el signo y adaptarlo; para esto tuve la idea de un sombrero de copa para colocar el signo piscis. Estaba indecisa con el diseño de ese signo del horóscopo, es decir, si hacer los dos pececitos o el símbolo que parece la letra “H”. Opté por los pececitos, pero solo el contorno, para colocarlo en el sombrero.
El otro punto era el color o los colores para trabajar; entonces, no quise usar el típico color negro para el traje, por lo que me incliné en la combinación de los colores plata, blanco, gris y negro. Tomando en cuenta el material, siempre que elaboro un proyecto manualista, uso lo que tengo para mitigar los gastos. Necesitaba foami de tamaño oficio, pero no tenía y utilicé tipo carta.
Acompáñame en la elaboración, sígueme…¡Saludos amigos artesanos!! Un feliz cumpleaños atrasado para todos los piscianos, especialmente para mi cuñada, un amigo, mi esposo y mi hijo menor. Este signo zodiacal se encuentra entre el 19 de febrero y el 20 de marzo; motivo por el cual @hivediy le dedicó esta edición de Actívate.
### Cotillón de Smoking
Para la elaboración de este cotillón es necesario tener: foami escarchado de color negro, blanco, plata y gris, un foami mate de color gris, silicón líquido, una barra de silicón y pistola, tijera, una lata y el diseño del signo piscis en papel.
La tira de foami verde no fue usada.
Los pasos a seguir son los siguientes:
1- Tomar un pedazo de foami blanco para pegarlo en la lata. Es lo que sirve como camisa.
2- Forrar la lata con el foami gris escarchado. No me alcanzó el foami carta y tuve que empatarlo.
3- Transferir el diseño de piscis al foami escarchado de color gris y recortar.
4- Recortar una tira de 6 cms de ancho por el largo del foami escarchado de color plata para realizar un cilindro que serviría para el sombrero; para ello, lo empalmé con un pedazo de papel.
5- Luego, dibujé un círculo de papel del tamaño de la circunferencia del cilindro. Para calcar en el foami plata.
6- Dibujar un círculo que incluya al otro y recortar el círculo interno.
7- El contorno dibujado se pega en el cilindro, dejando un pequeño espacio sobrante. Aquí pondría la tira verde que sale en la foto, pero no fue necesaria.
8- Pegar la circunferencia en la parte de arriba del cilindro, formando el sombrero.
9- Cortar una tira de 1.5 cms de ancho y del largo del sombrero. Después, centrar la figura del signo y pegar.
10- Por último, pegamos las solapas del traje, el lazo y los botones; y ya tenemos listo nuestro cotillón smoking con sombrero de copa.
Esta iniciativa fue para el signo piscis, por lo que para este momento ya entramos en otro signo, pero no quise perder la oportunidad de mostrar este trabajo que fue elaborado con mucho cariño para todos y en especial para mi amigo.
