El nacimiento de un bebé siempre es una bendición, traen consigo alegría y ternura a la familia, sin contar los trasnochos 😂. El mes pasado, es decir en diciembre abrió sus ojitos al mundo un nuevo nieto. Vino unos días antes de la fecha prevista por decisión del médico, debido a que haría una cesárea y esterilización al mismo tiempo.
Antes de que naciera, ya me había puesto a hacer unos llaveros pero el hilo no alcanzó y me dispuse a hacer unos adornos de nevera.
The birth of a baby is always a blessing, they bring joy and tenderness to the family, not counting the late nights 😂. Last month, that is in December a new grandchild opened his little eyes to the world. He came a few days before the due date by the doctor's decision, because he was having a cesarean section and sterilization at the same time.
Before he was born, I had already started to make some key chains but the thread was not enough and I decided to make some fridge ornaments.
Llaveros bebé / Baby key chains
El material utilizado fue: hilo doble para tejer, aguja de ganchillo, tubos de papel higiénico, silicón, perforador, marcador, foami de color piel, foami escarchado de color azul, cinta, cristales con forma de delfín, cuentas de madera y aros para llaveros.
El procedimiento es muy fácil:
The materials used were: double knitting yarn, crochet needle, toilet paper tubes, silicone, hole punch, marker, skin colored foami, blue frosted foami, ribbon, dolphin shaped crystals, wooden beads and keychain rings.
The procedure is very easy:
1- Recortar el tubo de papel higiénico en un rectángulo de 6x10.
1- Cut the toilet paper tube into a 6x10 rectangle.
2- Enrollar y pegar el tubito.
2- Roll and glue the tube.
3- Forrar el tubito con foami de color piel. Este será el cuerpo del bebé.
3- Cover the tube with skin-colored foami. This will be the baby's body.
4- Introducir un cordón en la cuenta de madera y pegar sobre el tubito de cartón para formar la cabeza.
4- Insert a string in the wooden bead and glue it on the cardboard tube to form the head.
5- Hacer círculos de foami azul con un perforador y pegar en la cabeza del bebé para simular un chupón.
5- Make circles of blue foami with a hole puncher and glue on the baby's head to simulate a pacifier.
6- Tejer un rectángulo de 6x15 cms.
6- Weave a rectangle of 6x15 cms.
7- Colocar silicón al cuerpo para pegar la mantita tejida envolviendo al bebé y colocar el lazo. Pintar los ojos.
7- Put silicone on the body to glue the woven blanket around the baby and place the bow. Paint the eyes.
8- En el cordón poner el aro del llavero.
8- Put the ring of the key ring on the cord.
Dragoncitos en foami / Little dragons in foami
Para la elaboración de estos adornos de nevera usé: foami de varios colores, foami escarchado, silicón, marcador y tijera.
Iniciamos el proceso de la siguiente manera:
To make these fridge ornaments I used: foami of various colors, frosted foami, silicone, marker and scissors.
We start the process as follows:
1- Dibujar el dragoncito para obtener el molde. Sacar la silueta del dragón como soporte para pegar las partes del diseño.
1- Draw the dragon to obtain the mold. Draw the dragon silhouette as a support to glue the parts of the design.
2- Delinear y pintar los detalles con un marcador negro. Pegar un imán por detrás de la figura.
2- Outline and paint the details with a black marker. Glue a magnet behind the figure.
Terminado todo el trabajo se los entregué a la mamá de mi nieto para que los obsequiara a quien ella tuviera consideración.

Once all the work was finished, I gave them to my grandson's mother so that she could give them as a gift to whomever she cared about.
