The initiative No. 9 of the community of artisans to commemorate this special day has proposed this beautiful theme: Mother's Day Special, for my entry I made a reversible top in two colors, ideal for mom to be comfortable while doing crafts at home or doing exercises and walks to stay healthy and fit, I had planned to make my entry earlier, but it was impossible due to power failures.
Saludos amigos creativos y artesanos de @hivediy, hoy en Venezuela y varios países se celebra el Día de las Madres, ese ser especial que nos llena de amor y que el Padre Celestial puso en nuestras vidas para cuidar a cada uno sus hijos con abnegación; como dice la popular frase; "Madre solo hay una" y es capaz de hacer el mayor sacrificio por sus hijos, el amor de la Madre da todo a cambio de nada pues se deleita en brindar amor a los suyos.❤️❤️🎂👋
La iniciativa N° 9 de la comunidad de artesanos para conmemorar este día especial ha propuesto esta hermosa temática: Especial día de las Madres, para mi entrada elaboré un top reversible en dos colores, ideal para que mamá esté cómoda mientras hace los oficios en casa o realiza ejercicios y caminatas para mantenerse saludable y en forma, tenía planeado hacer mi entrada más temprano, pero fue imposible por fallas en el servicio de energía eléctrica.

Elaboration
The first step is to mark and cut the pieces that will form the top, I cut the back and front in both colors, then I sewed with straight stitch and with the help of a pin I turned the pieces of the back.

El primer paso es marcar y cortar las piezas que formaran el top, corté trasero y delantero en ambos colores, luego enfrenté cosí con puntada recta y con ayuda de un alfiler volteé las piezas del trasero.
When sewing the pieces I left the shoulders and sides open to match, then I faced the front and back right sides, joined them at the shoulders and turned them over, up to this point everything was going well, but when I tried the garment it was too small at the shoulder and did not cover the bust, after thinking of several solutions I decided to add elastic bias extensions of approximately twenty centimeters, from the back to the top of the armhole.
It was a bit difficult because I had to unpick the shoulders already embonated, but most importantly it worked and I was able to move on to the next step.
Al coser las piezas se deja las parte de los hombros y laterales abierta para embonar, luego enfrenté por el derecho la parte trasera y delantera, las uní por los hombros y volteé, hasta este punto todo iba bien, pero al probar la prenda quedó muy pequeña de hombro y no cubría el busto, luego de pensar en varias soluciones opté por añadir extensiones de sesgo elástico de aproximadamente veinte centímetros, desde el trasero hasta la parte superior de la sisa.
Fue un tanto difícil porque tuve que descoser los hombros ya embonados, pero lo más importante funcionó y pude avanzar al siguiente paso.
With an inward fold at each end of the shoulders I placed the bias and sewed with a straight stitch, because of the thickness of the fabrics I had a little difficulty passing the needle.
Con un doblez hacía adentro en cada extremo de los hombros coloqué el sesgo y cosí con puntada recta, por el grosor de las telas tuve un poco de dificultad al pasar la aguja.
Step number four was to close the sides with a straight stitch, facing the right sides and matching the seams, then I flipped over and all the seams are hidden, only the bottom part needs to be closed.
El paso número cuatro fue cerrar los laterales con puntada recta, enfrentando los derechos y haciendo coincidir las costuras, luego volteé y así todas las costuras quedan ocultas, solo falta cerrar la parte inferior.
I then cut two strips to make the sash, these measure forty by twelve (40 * 12) centimeters, sewed them right sides together then flipped and pinned to the bottom of the top.

Para finalizar cosí la parte interna del fajón por todo el contorno, luego sujeté con alfileres y cosí la parte externa haciendo un pequeño doblez encima de la costura anterior, muy despacio para evitar que la aguja se rompa uní el fajón y así está terminado el top para las mamitas en su día. ❤️❤️🎂👋
