Greetings creative community around the world I wish you a happy and blessed weekend, together with family and friends, the days are moving very fast, we are in the middle of September, and there is little time left to start school activities in my country, which involves resuming the routines of taking the children to school and getting up very early to prepare food, the vacations are about to end and start a new school year, taking advantage of the last days of vacation I have made several sewing projects with the scraps of fabric that are left.
Saludos comunidad creativa en todo el mundo les deseo un feliz y bendecido fin de semana, en unión de familiares y amigos, los días avanzan muy rápido, estamos en la mitad del mes de septiembre, ya falta poco tiempo para iniciar las actividades escolares en mi país, lo cual implica retomar las rutinas de llevar los niños a la escuela buscarlos y levantarse muy temprano a preparar la comida, las vacaciones están por terminar e iniciar un nuevo año escolar, aprovechando los últimos días de las vacaciones he realizado varios proyectos de costura con los retazos de tela que van quedando.
This time I made a V-neck flannel for my son, the process was longer than it usually takes me to make a flannel, matching the pieces and making the sleeves was a challenge, I had cut the other pieces and completely forgot about the sleeves; when I was organizing the pieces I realized that there was not enough fabric for the sleeves, I gathered the remaining pieces and with a lot of patience I cut and assembled the sleeves.
En esta ocasión hice una franela cuello en V, para mi hijo, el proceso fue más largo de lo que regularmente me toma hacer una franela, empatar los retazos y hacer la mangas fue todo un reto, había cortado las otras piezas y olvidé por completo las mangas; al momento de organizar las piezas me di cuenta que no había tela suficiente para las mangas, recogí los retazos restantes y con mucha paciencia corté y armé las mangas.

After joining the fabrics, I cut the front, back and sleeves, right sides together, and joined the shoulders with a straight stitch.
Luego de unir las telas, corté el delantero, trasero y las mangas, enfrente derecho con derecho el trasero y delantero y uní por los hombros con puntada recta.
To make the sleeves I cut three pieces for each one, then I joined the central piece with two small rectangles (12 * 6 cm), one at each end in this way I could finally complete the sleeves.
Para hacer las mangas corté tres piezas para cada una, luego uní la pieza central con dos pequeños rectángulos (12 * 6 cm), uno a cada extremo de esta forma pude finalmente completar las mangas.
I pinned, facing the sleeves to the flannel, joined with a straight stitch and zig zag stitch; I like to use this stitch to reinforce the seam and achieve a better finish, then I closed the sides.
Fijé con alfileres, enfrentando las mangas a la franela, uní con puntada recta y pasé zig zag; me gusta usar esta puntada para reforzar la costura y lograr un mejor acabado, luego cerré los laterales.
I made the collar with a ribbon or bias fabric 5 cm wide by 38 cm long, I folded it in half, made a beveled cut at one end and placed the lower part of the bias at the bottom of the collar, fixed with the needle and sewed leaving a margin of 0.5 cm, stretching the bias 1 cm, when I reached the bottom of the collar I mounted the bias at the beveled end, sewed, and cut the excess, so the collar is in a V-shape.
El cuello lo hice con un cinta o sesgo de tela rib de 5 cm de ancho por 38 de largo, lo doblé por la mitad hice un corte biselado en uno de los extremos y coloqué la parte inferior del sesgo en la parte baja del cuello, fijé con la aguja y cosí dejando un margen de 0,5 cm, estirando el sesgo 1 cm, al llegar a la parte baja del cuello monté el sesgo en el extremo biselado, cosí, y corté el sobrante, así queda el cuello en forma de V.
Once the neck is glued, the only thing left to do is to make the hem, for this I hemmed one (1) cm around the bottom contour of the flannel and sewed with straight stitch, in the same way I did on the sleeves.
Ya pegado el cuello, solo resta hacer el ruedo, para ello hice dobladillo de un (1) cm por todo el contorno inferior de la franela y cosí con puntad recta, de igual forma hice en la mangas.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this project was a great challenge, it is easy to match fabrics to cut the back and front of a flannel, but for the sleeves is a little complicated and even more when you have little fabric, it is in these moments where creativity allows us to find the best options to create and finish the project, the flannel is black at the top front, then a blue stripe and finally a thin black stripe to complete the length according to the mold; The back is only blue and the sleeves are also blue with black stripes at the ends, it was a very nice design and my son is happy with the result, it was worth the time invested to make the flannel and I am happy to achieve it.
Como mencioné al inicio, este proyecto fue u gran reto, es sencillo empatar telas para cortar el trasero y delantero de una franela, pero para las mangas es un poco complicado y más aún cuando se tiene poca tela, es en estos momentos donde la creatividad nos permite buscar la mejores opciones para crear y terminar el proyecto, la franela es de color negro en la parte superior delantera, luego una franja azul y por último un delgada franja negra para completar el largo de acuerdo al molde; en la parte trasera es solo azul y las mangas son azules también con franjas negras en los extremos, resultó un diseño muy bonito y mi hijo está feliz con el resultado, valió la pena el tiempo invertido para elaborar la franela y me siento contenta por lograrlo.

Hola @emmaris, aprovechar los retazos es una gran opción para ahorrar y crear hermosos diseños, aunque requiere más tiempo el proceso de elaboración , el resultado vale la pena.
