I visited a longtime friend one day and saw her making beaded handbag. I was amazed at its intricacy . Very beautiful, elegant and classy. I insisted to have the bag even at higher rate. She calmly told me that i can't go with it because that was her first attempt after learning it. After much argument, She offered to teach me the procedure instantly with her materials, she taught me one bag design and few designs of beaded bracelets and earrings, i left to practice it. After much practice and few mistakes i began to master the act. As i kept on mastering the art of beading, I discovered another art; macrame
Macrame is an act and art of using your blessed fingers to produce beautiful art designs like handbag, footwear, 
bracelets, table runners, and so many other things one can imagine with the use of rope, cord. It originated with sailors who crafted it to cover sharp objects or sharp edges like knives, bottles, they also used it to cover parts of ship. The basic knots in macrame include Josephine knots, square knots, single half hitch, double half hitch, Japanese knots, wrapping, and several others. Each of these knots have their unique purposes , but two or three types of knots can be employed in one work.
I love the art so much that i immersed myself to learning all of its intricacies, apart from the ones my personal tutor taught me, i enrolled in many online classes on macrame and perfected in them. When i started wearing the ones i made for myself, people saw and loved and demanded that i make for them. Even the ones i made for my kids were admired but onlookers. My daughter, Amora has started making the simple designs for bangle she learnt from me for her friends. She's preparing these ones for her friends. 
Soon i turned my hubby to business and started making money from it. I derive so much joy in this work that I started posting my arts and designs on social media platforms, and people like it and order for personal use, i also got a lot of online customers that I supply in large quantities. At a time, my cousin who was a manager in one supermarket offered to market it in their company. First, I produced for each of his family members, he wore it to their office and people there liked it.He started guiding me on things to do to qualify as a supplier to the company like getting some papers and certificates, 
emailing a business proposal to them. I did as was directed but unfortunately, he was transferred to another location, so i lost the connection.That notwithstanding, I produced for people in my locality and am satisfied with what i earn from it. Macrame is such a unique art design that fits in every occasion. It has as many colors as u can imagine and those colors can be blended in combination to give an amazing rays. Its elegancy and durability is top notch. Even the ones i made 6years ago are still intact and in good condition. Macrame handbags can last more than a decade. Have you heard about macrame?
