It's a beautiful day out here and I hope you are doing great, I will be sharing with you today the making of this simple and beautiful fabric organizer for cosmetics, this is so different from the previous one I made for my friend with just 4 space for items this one I made has 5 compartment and the good thing about this is that it can easily be carried around in a bag for a trip, it does not occupy much space, it can be kept on a table as it has a rope to tie it together when the items are properly arranged in it. Unlike the ones I made which can be hanged on the wall.

It can also be left open like this on the table for use.

I made this for myself for a short trip I will be going on soon for my cosmetics and I'm sure someone will definitely want to take this from me 😃

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process of this fabric organizer.

I cut out 16.5 x 10.5" of fabric with lining of same shape.

I also cut out 2 pieces of bias strip of 16.5" which was folded in two and sewn to make a rope.

On the main fabric, I measured 2" from the top on the right side and stitched the 2 ropes on it.

Then the lining was placed on the main fabric right side to right side and sewn round leaving an opening at the top where it can be turned inside out.

The excess were trimmed off and it was turned inside out.

It was top stitched round with the opening folded in then it was folded up leaving ½" at the top and I sew on both sides.

I marked 3.2" on intervals to make 5 pockets/ spaces for my items and I sew on each of the lines.

I arranged few of my cosmetics in it and it's looking really nice.

It was folded backward and I tie it together with the rope by the side.
