Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great. It's another lovely day and I'm here to share with you the making of this double pocket sling bag for phone and cash with flip cover to secure the items in it, this was made for my friend little sister as a gift.
I made this bag for my friend's little sister when she needed a bag for her little items of phone and cash which can be easily hanged across her shoulder, this is what I know how to do best, using pieces of fabric to make something nice for people around me who needs me to create something useful for them and it's always my pleasure to do that.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
I cut out a long piece of fabric from the left over I had measuring 26 x 6" with interfacing ironed on it.
I folded in 11" and sew it on a straight line
I folded in upward by 6" and sew on both sides
The remaining piece was folded up on the wrong side on both sides and I have this
I marked the two edges by 1" and sew it to have a sitting bottom
it was turned inside out and I processed to make the flip cover
For the flip cover, I cut out 5.5 x 5.5" with lining, it was trimmed at the edge and sewn with lining.
The flip cover was sewn mid point to mid point of the bag as well
To make the long rope, I cut out 45 x 2" which was folded and sewn on both sides before it was sewn to both sides of the bag.
I cut out a lining of 18 x 7" it was sewn on both sides and inserted the bag in it as it was sewn round leaving an opening by the side to be turned inside out.
It was top stitched round on the tip and this is the final outcome.
I hope you like how simple and useful this sling bag turned out, now my friend's little sister has gotten a bag for herself for safe keeping of her phone and cash.
