Hola amigos de #hive reciban un cordial saludo, hoy quiero compartirles los pasos que realicé para restaurar una joya literaria. Los 10 años de Mafalda. Este libro lo amo y trae a mi mente tantos recuerdos maravillosos, porque forma parte de mi crecimiento personal, intelectual y profesional. Una bonita época de mi vida, mi adolescencia. Tiene un valor muy sentimental porque compartía esta lectura con mis primas y amigas de la universidad.
Mi bella sobrina de nueve años está leyendo Mafalda y me preguntó si tenía algún libro que le prestara, a lo cual le respondí creo que sí, déjame buscarlo y te aviso. Una de estas tardes estaba buscando otra cosa y apareció el libro. Pero estaba sin la portada, a lo que decidí restaurarla porque quiero que ella, lo registre en su memoria tal y como es. Así como lo recuerdo yo.
🎨✂️🖍Materiales que utilicé para la restauración
- Cartulina Doble Faz de color blanco
- Tijera
- Marcadores de punta fina
- Lápiz
- Regla
- Pintura de Tela color Plateado
- Pinceles
- Goma de Pegar
- Goma de Borrar
- Una imagen de Mafalda
- Una hoja blanca
👣Paso a Paso👣
⭐️.- En un trozo de cartulina doble faz, montar el libro y con un lapicero o lápiz, dibujar el tamaño del libro y dejar un espacio para pegar en el lomo del mismo.
⭐️.- Doblar la parte que se va a pegar al lomo, echar goma de pegar en suficiente cantidad y pegarlo haciendo un poco de presión con los dedos.
⭐️.- Para sujetarlo y que pegue bien se le coloca un poco de cinta adhesiva de papel (tirro le decimos en Venezuela) en la parte de atrás, tal como se aprecia en la imagen.
⭐️.- Luego con con un pincel y pintura plateada, coloreamos la portada de cartulina doble faz. Como su textura es lisa y brillante hay que pasarle varias veces hasta que tome el tono adecuado.
⭐️.- En la parte de atrás también le coloqué alrededor cinta adhesiva de papel, para protegerle las puntas. Con un algodón con alcohol limpié toda la superficie para quitarle el sucio y luego le pinté también la cinta adhesiva. Como se puede observar en la imagen.
⭐️.- Luego tomo la imagen impresa previamente de Mafalda, le coloco encima una hoja blanca y la calco, después la coloreo. Utilizando los mismos colores que tiene en la parte de atrás del libro.
⭐️.- Primero uso el color piel, luego el verde, después el rosado y finalmente el negro; para delinear y sacar los detalles. Inicialmente pensaba pintar con marcadores finos, pero lo hice con creyones de madera. El color negro utilizado si fue con marcador.
Como podrán observar quedó restituido totalmente, nadie sabe que no es su portada original 😁😉. Este libro tiene en mi familia más de treinta años. Y lo quiero seguir conservando. Gracias por llegar hasta el final. Deseo que mis ideas te puedan ayudar a restaurar los tuyos.

Just as I remember it.

.- White double-sided cardboard
- Scissors
- Fine tip markers
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Silver colored fabric paint
- Brushes
- Glue Stick
- Eraser
- An image of Mafalda
- A white sheet of paper
👣Step by Step👣
⭐️.- On a piece of double-sided cardstock, mount the book and with a pen or pencil, draw the size of the book and leave a space to glue on the spine of the book.
⭐️.- Fold the part to be glued to the spine, pour enough glue and glue it by applying a little pressure with your fingers.
⭐️.- To hold it and make it stick well, put some paper tape (tirro we say in Venezuela) on the back, as shown in the image.
⭐️.- Then with a brush and silver paint, we color the double-sided cardboard cover. As its texture is smooth and shiny you have to pass it several times until it takes the right tone.
⭐️.- On the back I also put paper tape around it, to protect the tips. With a cotton with alcohol I cleaned the entire surface to remove the dirt and then I also painted the adhesive tape. As you can see in the image.
⭐️.- Then I take the previously printed image of Mafalda, place a white sheet on top of it and trace it, then color it. Using the same colors she has on the back of the book.
⭐️.- First I use skin color, then green, then pink and finally black; to outline and bring out the details. Initially I was planning to paint with fine markers, but I did it with wood crayons. The black color used was with marker.
As you can see it was completely restored, nobody knows that it is not its original cover 😁😉. This book has been in my family for more than thirty years. And I want to keep it. Thank you for making it to the end. I wish my ideas can help you to restore yours.
