¡Saludos a todos los amantes de las artes manuales! Hoy me encuentro compartiendo un proyecto que me ha encanto elaborar. Se trata de un caramelero de colibrí en porcelana fría.
Greetings to all handicraft lovers! Today I am sharing a project that I loved to make. It is a Cold porcelain hummingbird candy holder.
He preparado la masa de porcelana fría con fecula de maíz, pegamento blanco, vinagre y aceite de bebé. Luego utilicé un frasco de cristal con tapa, acuarelas, estecas y moldes de corte, rodillo de texturas, pintura nacarada y pegamento blanco. Barniz para sellar el trabajo al final y preservarlo.
I prepared the cold porcelain dough with corn starch, white glue, vinegar and baby oil. Then I used a glass jar with lid, watercolors, cutting dies and molds, texture roller, pearlescent paint and white glue. Varnish to seal the work at the end and preserve it.
Decoremos la tapa
Para la decoración de la tapa del caramelero de cristal, tomamos una porción de porcelana fría y estiramos con el rodillo de textura. Ponemos pegamento blanco sobre la tapa y la cubrimos con la porcelana fría, tratando de no tocar la parte superior para que nuestros dedos no borren la textura lograda con el rodillo.
Let's decorate the lid
To decorate the lid of the glass candy box, we take a portion of cold porcelain and stretch it with the texture roller. We put white glue on the lid and cover it with the cold porcelain, trying not to touch the top so that our fingers do not erase the texture achieved with the roller.

-Con una esteca dentada vamos a retirar el exceden y reservamos en un lugar fresco, sobre un plástico para que se seque.
-With a notched stake we will remove the excess and reserve in a cool place, on plastic wrap to dry.

Colibrí
-Primero vamos a hacer las plumas de las alas y de la cola del colibrí. Para eso tomamos pequeñas bolitas de masa de porcelana fría, le damos forma de gota y aplastamos. Luego con ayuda de un cutter vamos a darle textura de pluma. Marcamos la mitad y luego líneas juntas en diagonal hacia la punta. De la siguiente manera:
Hummingbird
-First we are going to make the feathers for the wings and tail of the hummingbird. To do this we take small balls of cold porcelain dough, shape them into drops and flatten them. Then with the help of a cutter we are going to give it a feather texture. We mark the middle and then we mark lines together diagonally towards the tip. In the following way:
-Para hacer el ala que va a quedar pegada al cristal del frasco, vamos a poner pegamento blanco soble el cristal y colocar una sobre otra como abanico 4 plumas de las que acabamos de hacer.
-To make the wing that will be glued to the glass of the jar, we are going to put white glue on the glass and place 4 of the feathers we have just made one on top of the other as a fan.
-Con el cutter, cortamos la parte inferior de las plumas para que no hagan muy voluminoso el cuerpo del colibrí.
-With the cutter, cut the lower part of the feathers so that they do not make the hummingbird's body too bulky.
-Para el ala que queda levantada, hacemos un pequeño triángulo de masa de porcelana fría y sobre este, con pegamento blanco, colocamos 2 capas de plumas una capa larga y otra de plumas más cortas.
-For the wing that remains raised, we make a small triangle of cold porcelain dough and on it, with white glue, we place 2 layers of feathers, a long layer and another one of shorter feathers.

-Para el cuerpo, tomamos un cilindro de masa de porcelana fría y con los dedos presionamos para hacer una endidura que marcará la cabeza y otra en la parte inferior que marcará la cola.

-Con los dedos vamos a estirar la masa para sacar el pico del colibrí.
-With our fingers we are going to stretch the dough to get the hummingbird's beak.

-Ponemos pegamento blanco sobre el cristal para pegar el cuerpo del colibrí.

-Vamos a pegar una piedra de mostacilla de color negro que será el ojo, hundimos un poco para que quede incrustada. Y pegamos un par de plumas pequeñas en la cola. También vamos a pegar el ala sobre el cuerpo del colibrí y precionamos para que quede como saliendo del cuerpo.
-We are going to glue a stone of black clay that will be the eye, we sink a little so that it is embedded. And glue a couple of small feathers on the tail. We are also going to glue the wing on the body of the hummingbird and press it so that it looks like it is coming out of the body.
-Con la punta del cutter vamos a marcar todo el cuerpo del colibrí para darle la textura de plumas.
-With the tip of the cutter we will mark the whole body of the hummingbird to give it the texture of feathers.
Hice el colibrí con la masa de porcelana fría de color blanco, así puedo darle el matiz de colores que necesito para imitar el hermoso colibrí.
-Podemos iniciar el proceso de pintura con un pincel viejo y que las cerdas sean suaves pero disparejas. Primero el color verde oscuro por la parte superior del cuerpo y el ala .
I made the hummingbird with the cold white porcelain dough, so I can give it the color shading I need to mimic the beautiful hummingbird.
-We can start the painting process with an old paintbrush and make the bristles soft but uneven. First the dark green color on the upper body and wing.
-Así continuamos haciendo un degradado con violeta, verde claro para la cabeza y marrón para el pico.
-So we continue to make a gradient with violet, light green for the head and brown for the beak.
-Con pintura nacarada repasamos el verde y el violeta para que tome un tono más parecido al de un colibrí.
-With mother-of-pearl paint we go over the green and violet to give it a tone more similar to that of a hummingbird.
-Luego hacemos un ramillete de flores y lo ponemos junto al colibrí.
-Then we make a bouquet of flowers and place it next to the hummingbird.
