Los buenos sueños son atrapados y se deslizan por la red, luego pasan por las plumas y llegan a nosotros. En cambio los malos sueños o pesadillas quedan atrapados en la red y desaparecen o mueren al pegarles los primeros rayos del sol.
Good dreams are trapped and slip through the net, then pass through the feathers and reach us. On the other hand, bad dreams or nightmares are trapped in the net and disappear or die when the first rays of the sun hit them.
He realizado atrapasueños grandes, generalmente tejidos y luego montados en el aro. Esta vez quise hacerlo diferente tejiendo directamente la red en el aro. El inconveniente es que no tengo aro, tampoco alambre ni nada para hacer uno. Entonces opté por probar utilizando un envase de refresco plástico. Les muestro como quedó y parte del proceso.
I have made large dream catchers, usually woven and then mounted in the hoop. This time I wanted to do it differently by weaving the netting directly into the hoop. The drawback is that I don't have a hoop, wire or anything to make one. So I decided to try using a plastic soda container. I show you how it turned out and part of the process.

♻️ Para comenzar corté el fondo de la botella para trabajar desde la parte lisa. Siempre procurando que el corte quedara circular, lo más redondo posible. Para ello me guié por las rayas que tiene este envase plástico.
To begin, I cut the bottom of the bottle to work from the smooth side. Always making sure that the cut was circular, as round as possible. To do this I was guided by the stripes that this plastic container has.
♻️ Encendí la plancha a temperatura media. Hice primero algunas pruebas porque mi plancha calienta lento. Hay que dejarla un rato encendida para luego controlarle la temperatura. Una vez que me aseguré de no quemar el plástico procedí. Coloqué allí la botella haciendo un poco de presión y moviendo en forma circular.
♻️ I turned the iron on at medium temperature. I did some tests first because my iron heats up slowly. You have to leave it on for a while and then check the temperature. Once I made sure not to burn the plastic I proceeded. I placed the bottle there, putting a little pressure on it and moving it in a circular motion.
♻️ Luego separé del resto de la botella el aro que se había formado y también lo pasé por la plancha. Logrando obtener algo así como un aro de pulsera. También hice varias pruebas porque es la primera vez que hago aros con material reciclado. Me costó un poco cortar y lograr que quedara redondo ese otro lado. Me quedó un poquito ancho.
♻️ I then separated the ring that had formed from the rest of the bottle and also ran it through the iron. I managed to get something like a bracelet ring. I also made several tests because it is the first time I make hoops with recycled material. It was a little difficult to cut and get the other side round. It was a little wide.
♻️ Seguidamente procedí a forrar el aro con hilo pabilo. Antes de comenzar hice un colgante con la punta del hilo, lo amarré en el aro y con el resto empecé a cubrir el aro. Al terminar coloqué un punto de pegamento.
Next I proceeded to line the hoop with wick yarn. Before starting I made a pendant with the end of the thread, tied it on the hoop and with the rest I started to cover the hoop. At the end I put a dot of glue.
♻️ Para hacer la red corté más o menos 3 metros de hilo pabilo, lo ensarté en la aguja lanera y empecé a formar la red, tal como muestro en las imágenes. 👇

♻️ Antes de culminar toda la red coloqué un abalorio en el hilo para dejarlo en el centro del atrapasueños. Luego pasé por el orificio final y anudé en la parte de atrás.

♻️ Decoré con cordón plástico verde y anaranjado. Le coloqué otras cuentas en cada cordón y al final le colgué las plumas. Para fijarlas usé pegamento.
I decorated with green and orange plastic cord. I placed other beads on each cord and at the end I hung the feathers. To attach them I used glue.

♻️ Hacer este proyecto me gustó mucho. Me ocuparé de practicar más la elaboración de los aros ya que me parecen útiles para muchos proyectos. Para tejer la red cualquier hilo sirve. Para forrar el aro podrías usar telas o hilos gruesos. Siendo creativos podemos lograr bellos resultados.
