As I have been telling you, in this world of wood, recycled wood can have a new use, and we can give it a new opportunity.
Today I want to show you a little table that I made with some scraps of wood that I had in the house from a desk that no longer works and a leg of a bed that was already broken and disassembled.
We should always try to see the future of things that sometimes we call useless and we can get good results by restoring them or giving them another use, with love and dedication we can get very nice things, I do not know if I told you that I love working with wood although I am not a professional I have learned little by little and I love the results I have.
This was my step by step.
Como les he venido contando, en este mundo de la madera, lo reciclado puede tener un nuevo uso, y podemos darle darle una nueva oportunidad.
Hoy quiero mostrarles una mesita que realice con unos retazo de madera que tenía en la casa de un escritorio que ya no serbia y una pata de una cama que ya estaba rota y desarmada.
Siempre debemos tratar de ver el futuro de las cosas que a veces llamamos inservibles y podemos sacar buenos resultados al restáurarlos o al darle otro uso, con amor y dedicación logramos obtener cosas muy lindas, no sé si les conté que me encanta trabajar con madera a pesar que no soy profesional he aprendido poco a poco y me encantan los resultados que tengo.
Así fue mí paso a paso.
As you can see in the photo this is the leg of the back of an old bed, which I sanded to remove imperfections and move some of the old paint.
Como se ve en la foto este es la pata del respaldar de una vieja cama, que la lije para quitarle las imperfecciones y mover un poco su pintura vieja.
Then I cut a round with the hand jigsaw, a little difficult but with sanding I was able to accommodate the circumference.
Luego corte un redondo con la caladora de mano, un poco difícil pero con el lijado pude lograr acomodar la circunferencia.
Then I went on to cut 4 legs on the table saw, I chose this model of legs because they have a vintage style that combines with the support of what will be the table.
Luego pase a cortar 4 patas en la caladora de mesa, escogí este modelo de patas porque van así con un estilo vintage que combinan con el soporte de lo que será la mesa.
Then I marked the center of the table, and with one of the longer lag screws and some glue, I tightened the main support of the table, making it really hard so that it won't move to the sides.
Luego marque el centro de la mesa, y con un tornillo tirafondo de los más largos y un poco de pega, ajuste el soporte principal de la mesa, quedando realmente duro para que no se me vaya a mover a los lados.
Then I took 4 more lag screws and removed the head to be able to adjust it on both sides, both in the central support, as well as in each of the 4 legs as shown in the photos and helped it with wood glue to make it harder.
Luego agarre 4 tornillos tirafondo más y le quite la cabeza para poderlo ajustar de ambos lados, tanto en el soporte central, como en cada uno de las 4 patas así como se ve en las fotos y lo ayude con pega de madera para que quedara mas duro.
And that's how my coffee table turned out, it's natural, I love giving life to an old material, I still haven't decided whether to leave it like that or add some color, but I love the result I got.
Listo así quedo mi mesita, esta al natural, darle vida a un viejo material me encanta, aun no me decido si dejarla así o colocarle algún color, pero me encanto el resultado que obtuve.
