I return once again, as every Friday, to bring you another of my little creations. This time, I have the immense pleasure to present you a tutorial in which I will explain, step by step, how I made a beautiful pair of hat-shaped keychains. The design of the hats is inspired by the so-called beach pamelas, which are very famous summer garments among women. I chose this shape thinking that my target audience would be women and I am sure they will love them.
In the tutorial I use an unconventional adornment, which is a metallic pearl necklace and, although I have never used it, this time I chose it because of the need I had to add weight to the key chains, otherwise they would always be at the mercy of the wind. But well, let's get down to business and start with the tutorial, but not before knowing the materials.

He vuelto una vez más, como cada viernes, para traerles otra de mis pequeñas creaciones. En esta ocasión, tengo el inmenso placer de presentarles un tutorial en el cual les explicaré, paso a paso, cómo elaboré una hermosa pareja de llaveros con forma de sombrero. El diseño de los sombreros está inspirado en las llamadas pamelas de playa, las cuales son unas prendas veraniegas muy famosas entre las mujeres. Elegí esta forma pensando en que mi público objetivo serían mujeres y estoy seguro de que les encantarán.
En el tutorial utilizo una decoración poco convencional, la cual es un collar de perlas metálicas y, a pesar de que nunca lo he usado, esta vez lo elegí por la necesidad que tenía de agregarle peso a los llaveros, ya que de lo contrario siempre estarían a merced del viento. Pero bueno, vayamos directo al grano y comencemos con el tutorial, no sin antes conocer los materiales.

Step by step // Paso a paso
1️⃣ The first thing I did was to mark and cut out two circles on red fomi and pink fomi, one of each color. Then I cut out some strips of fomi, which I rolled and glued in the center of each circle. I covered the top of the rolled fomi with smaller circles, thus creating the base shape of the hats.
Lo primero que hice fue marcar y recortar dos círculos sobre fomi rojo y fomi rosado, uno de cada color. Luego recorté unas tiras de fomi, las cuales enrollé y pegué en el centro de cada círculo. Tapé la parte superior del fomi enrollado con círculos más pequeños, quedando así la forma base de los sombreros.

2️⃣ Using a metallic silver pearl bead necklace, I covered the entire top brim of the hat, cutting out pieces of the necklace with a tweezer. Next, I used the metal cutting die to cut out two white lace brims, which I glued around the center of the base of each of the hats.
Con un collar de perlas plateadas metálicas, cubrí todo el borde superior del sombrero, recortando pedazos del collar con una pinza. A continuación, utilicé el troquel metálico de corte para recortar dos bordes de encaje blanco, los cuales pegué alrededor del centro de la base de cada uno de los sombreros.

3️⃣ For the floral decoration I used the other metal cutting dies, which were in the shape of flowers and small leaves. The frosted green fomi leaves I cut to form 4 smaller leaves. While the red and fuchsia pink flowers, both shiny, I thermoformed them and glued a yellow pistil in the center. When I finished assembling the flowers, I glued them diagonally to the base of the hat above the brim.
Para la decoración floral empleé los demás troqueles metálicos de corte, los cuales tenían forma de flor y hojas pequeñas. Las hojas de fomi verde escarchado las corté para formar 4 hojas más pequeñas. Mientras que las flores de color rojo y rosado fucsia, ambas brillantes, las termoformé y pegué un pistilo amarillo en el centro. Cuando terminé de ensamblar las flores, las pegué diagonalmente a la base del sombrero por encima del ala.

4️⃣ Next, I heated the entire brim of the hat and with my hands I created ripples in the shape to give the characteristic shape of the paddles. Finally, I drilled a hole in the back of each hat and through the hole I passed one of the links of the chain that attaches to the key ring.
Seguidamente, calenté todo el borde del sombrero y con las manos cree ondulaciones en la forma para dar la característica forma de las palas. Para finalizar, agujereé la parte trasera de cada sombrero y a través del orificio pasé uno de los eslabones de la cadena que sujeta a la anilla del llavero.
