Hello dear friends, I hope you are very well, today I want to share with you a craft, specifically a keychain. This keychain is made using cereal cardboard and foam, it represents one of the most dangerous villains Batman has faced, it is the mercenary Deathstroke, his name is Slade Wilson, and at the time he also belonged to the league of shadows where Batman he was trained but expelled. Marvel was inspired by this character to create Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, I think the inspiration was too much, only the latter has a comic tone while the DC villain is darker and sinister. I was testing several templates to create this model, I leave you with my creation.
Hola queridos amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una manualidad, en específico un llavero. Este llavero esta realizado usando cartón de cereales y foami, representa a uno de los villanos más peligrosos que ha enfrentado Batman, se trata del mercenario Deathstroke, su nombre es Slade Wilson, y en su momento también perteneció a la liga de las sombras donde Batman fue entrenado pero lo expulsaron. Marvel se inspiró en este personaje para crear a Deadpool, conocido también como Wade Wilson, creo que la inspiración fue demasiada, solo que este último tiene un tono cómico mientras que el villano de DC es más oscuro y siniestro. Estuve probando varias plantillas para crear este modero, los dejo con mi creación.

I did some tests with previous templates, I wanted to mix several models to get a more personalized one but I couldn't find one that I liked. So I made a simpler one that consists of only two pieces, and each piece only takes out a similar part to make the helmet, that is, there would be 4 pieces in total. The material used here is cereal cardboard, very good for folding and cutting, I think it is very useful for papercraft works.
Hice algunas pruebas con plantillas anteriores, quería mezclar varios modelos para conseguir uno más personalizado pero no pude dar con uno que me gustara. Así que hice uno más sencillo que consta de solo dos piezas, y cada pieza solo se le saca una parte parecida para hacer el casco, es decir que serían 4 piezas en total. El material utilizado aquí es cartón de cereal, muy bueno para doblar y cortar, creo que es muy útil para los trabajos de papercraft.

Now is the time to put the pieces together, by doing so we will have the helmet ready, so from now on it will only be to place some accessories to customize it and give it its original shape. First, I join the pieces in the shape of an arc, these are the upper part of the head and the face, I join them for all the small teeth that I left when cutting with the scissors. Then I glue the side pieces together, you can use instant glue or also school glue, I used the latter because it works well on cardboard.
Ahora es el momento de unir las piezas, al hacerlo tendremos listo el casco, así que en adelante solo será colocarle algunos accesorios para personalizarlo y darle la forma original. En primer lugar uno las piezas con forma de arco, estas son la parte superior de la cabeza y el rostro, las uno por todos lo pequeños dientes que dejé al cortar con la tijera. Después uno las piezas laterales con pegamento, se puede usar pegamento instantáneo o también pegamento escolar, yo usé este último porque funciona bien en el cartón.

On the helmet, using a pencil, I make some drawings that will later be highlighted using foami. The drawings on the front will be the likeness of a caravel, it also has accessories on the sides and on the top. When drawing it, I cut out the foam using the pattern and then using glue I fix it little by little so that the foam is not crooked.
En el casco usando un lápiz hago unos dibujos que luego será para resaltar usando foami. Los dibujos en la parte frontal será la semejanza de una caravela, también lleva accesorios por los lados y en la parte superior. Al dibujarlo recorto el foami utulizando el patrón y después usando pegamento lo voy fijando poco a poco para que el foami no quede torcido.

To finish with the accessories, I cut the piece on the top, so that the skull has a shape, I also cut some pieces that go on the sides of the helmet. To make it look more realistic, I opened one of the eye holes, in this case the left one, since Deathstroke lost his other eye in a battle, so this detail could not be overlooked.
Para finalizar con los accesorios corto la pieza de la parte superior, para que la calavera tenga forma, también corto unas piezas que van en los lados del casco. Para que se viera más realista, abrí uno de los agujeros de los ojos, en este caso el izquierdo, ya que Deathstroke perdió el otro ojo en una batalla, así que este detalle no podía dejarlo pasar por alto.

Now comes my favorite step, apply paint. Deathstroke's helmet has two colors, black and orange, to paint it I used cold black paint which is a matte tone and also orange acrylic paint mixed with a bit of yellow to give it a more lively tone. With some small brushes I applied the paint until it dried, in total there were 3 layers of paint applied. It looks like a life size helmet hehehe.
Ahora viene mi paso preferido, aplicar pintura. El casco de Deathstroke tiene dos colores, negro y naranja, para pinatrlo utilicé pintura negra al frío que es un tono mate y también pintura acrílica de color naranja mezclada con un poco de amarillo para darle un tono más vivo. Con uns pinceles pequeños fui aplicando la pintura hasta dejar secar, en total fueron 3 capas de pintura aplicada. Luce como un casco tamaño real jejeje.

Finally, in the hole that I made, on the inside I covered it with a white plastic so that it looked like the original helmet while the right eye is totally sealed as I mentioned before. Finally I added a wire at the top that serves as a support for the chain, in this way it becomes a keychain!
Para finalizar, en el agujero que hice, por la parte interna lo cubrí con un plástico blanco para que luciera como el casco original mientras que el ojo derecho queda totalmente sellado como mencione antes. Por último agregué un alambre en la parte de arriba que sirva como soporte para la cadena, de esta forma se convierte en un llavero!
This is how Deathstroke's helmet was finished, while I was doing it with the discarded templates I made other models that could serve me in the future, and while I was making this one I realized that if I changed the colors I would get Deadpool's, that's what I meant by Marvel took too much inspiration. However, doing some research I found out that Deadpool was conceived as a parody of Deathstroke so there is no problem with that, both are good characters, although I like the sinister tone of the DC comics character more. This has been everything, I have always been a fan of the world of Batman and especially its villains, I find them memorable, I hope you liked them, do not forget to comment what you think and if you would like another character. Así quedó finalizado el casco de Deathstroke, mientras lo hacía con las plantillas desechadas hice otros modelos que me podrían servir en un futuro, y mientras hacía este me di cuenta que si le cambiaba los colores obtendría el de Deadpool, a eso me refería con que Marvel tomó demasiada inspiración. Sin embargo, investigando un poco pude conocer que Deadpool fue concebido como una parodia de Deathstroke así que no hay problema con eso, ambos son buenos personajes, aunque me gusta más el tono siniestro del personaje de DC comics. Esto ha sido todo, siempre he sido fan del mundo de Batman y en especial de sus villanos, me parecen memorables, espero que les haya gustado, no olviden comentar que les ha parecido y si les gustaría otro personaje. Wa esto es genial! Recuerdo a ese personaje de los jóvenes titanes, fue en esa serie animada que lo conocí. Era uno de los villanos que mas odiaba de pequeño.

Ese Deathstroke se hace odiar jajaj el de la versión de los jóvenes Titanes fue todo un bastardo 🤣🤣 y el de los juegos de Arkham también es buenisimo
