Hello my dear crafters and craftspeople, happy start to the week! Cooking is definitely my thing, however, when we become parents and reach school age, we have to venture into different areas, and doing crafts, drawing, painting, and so on, are just some of the things we have to do. I must say that I am terrible at art, however, I do my best when it comes to helping my Mathias with his school activities. A couple of weeks ago, Mathias's teacher sent a schedule of presentations through the WhatsApp group that the students had to solve, in which each one had to talk about their favorite animal, and develop a series of questions based on it; Mathias immediately agreed that he would talk about the cat, I expected nothing less, after all, we have 8 cats at home.
On our free days during Carnival we decided to spend some time researching some curiosities and thus answer the questions that were asked to be developed. At that time I had no idea how to structure the sheet of bond paper that I would use as support material for my presentation. After racking my brain and checking Pinterest up and down, looking for ideas to do it, I ended up using Canva to make a sketch of how I could make a mental and conceptual map that would be useful in my presentation. That's how I developed the image that I show you below.
As I already mentioned, art is not my strong point, so drawing is not easy for me, so I printed the images on a larger scale in order to trace the drawings and then paint them. With a sheet of bond paper, ruler and pencil in hand, I set about sectioning the sheet and making the guide lines for the written part of the sheet and to properly position the images, trying to make it as similar as possible to the image I had created on Canva.
I didn't remember how difficult it is to trace on this type of paper, it is so thick that it is difficult to make small details, so I had to do these after tracing the larger image, so I worked with the rest of the images, taking care of the distribution of the space on the sheet.
In principle the sheet was going to be a mental and conceptual map, so I transcribed some short concepts that would help in the answers to the questions, however, at the suggestion of the teacher of the directed tasks these were later deleted, so I had to erase them, there were some marks left by the graphite pencil, I just hope they are not very noticeable hahaha. Once the excess information was erased, I proceeded to color the michi-cats, for them I used markers, at Christmas "Santa" gave Mathias a case of markers, which fit me like a glove, I love them because it has a great variety of tones, so it was easy to color the images.
After coloring the images and highlighting what was written with a black marker, it was time to erase the remaining graphite traces. There were a few details of the sheet that I designed on Canva, which in the end I did not place on the bond paper. It seemed to me that the sheet could be too overloaded, and I did not want them to end up attracting Mathias's attention. Let's see, you tell me, how did it turn out? Personally, this made my life easier a thousand percent, I know, I cheated a little, but understand me, with luck I manage to write decently, now imagine my ability to draw hahaha.

¡Hola mis queridos crafters y manualistas, feliz inicio de semana! Lo mío es la cocina definitivamente, sin embargo, cuando nos convertimos en padres y llega la edad escolar, tenemos que incursionar en diferentes áreas, y hacer manualidades, dibujar, pintar y demás, son solo algunas de las cosas que nos tocan, debo decir que soy pésima con el arte, sin embargo, hago mi mejor esfuerzo cuando se trata de ayudar a mi Mathias con sus actividades para el colegio, hace un par de semanas la maestra de Mathias envio por el grupo de WhatsApp un cronograma de exposiciones que los alumnos debían resolver, en donde cada uno debía hablar sobre su animal favorito, y desarrollar una seria de preguntas en base al mismo; de inmediato Mathias asintió que el hablaría sobre el gato, no esperaba menos, después de todo en casa tenemos 8 gatos.
En los días libres de carnaval decidimos dedicar un tiempo para investigar algunas curiosidades y así responder las preguntas que pedían desarrollar, para ese momento no tenía idea de cómo estructurar la lámina de papel bond que usaría como material de apoyo para su exposición, luego de darle vueltas a la cabeza y revisar de arriba abajo Pinterest, buscando ideas para hacerla, termine utilizando canva para a realizar un bosquejo de como podría hacer un mapa mental y conceptual que le sirviera en su exposición, fue así que desarrolle la imagen que les muestro a continuación.
Cómo ya lo mencioné, mi fuerte no es el arte, así que dibujar no se me hace fácil, por lo que imprimí las imágenes en una escala mayor para de esta manera calcar los dibujos y luego ya pintarlos, con lámina de papel bond, regla y lápiz a la mano me dispuse a seccionar la lámina y hacer las lineas guías para la parte escrita de la lámina y para situar bien las imágenes, tratando de que quedara lo más parecido a la imagen que había creado en canva.
No recordaba lo difícil que es calcar en este tipo de papel, es tan grueso que se dificulta hacer los pequeños detalles, por lo que estos me tocó hacerlos luego de calcar la imagen más grande, así fui trabajando con el resto de las imágenes, cuidando la distribución del espacio de la lámina.
En principio la lámina sería un mapa mental y conceptual, por lo que transcribí algunos conceptos cortos que ayudarían en las respuestas de las preguntas, sin embargo, por sugerencia de la maestra de las tareas dirigidas estás se eliminaron luego, por lo que, me tocó borrar, quedaron algunas marcas que deja el lápiz de grafito, solo espero que no se noten mucho jajaja. Una vez borrado el excedente de información, procedí a darle color a los michi-gatos, para ellos utilice marcadores, en navidad "Santa" le regaló un estuche de marcadores a Mathias, que me cayeron como anillo al dedo, me encanta porque tiene una gran variedad de tonos, por lo que fue fácil darle color a las imágenes.
Luego de colorear las imágenes y remarcar lo escrito con marcador negro, me tocaba borrar los trazos de grafito que quedaban, hubo unos cuantos detalles de la lámina que diseñe en canva, que al final no los coloque en el papel bond, me pareció que podía estar muy recargada la lámina, y no quería que le terminarán llamando la atención a Mathias. A ver, díganme ustedes ¿Qué tal quedó? En lo personal, esto me facilito la existencia en un mil por ciento, lo sé, hice un poco de trampa, pero entiéndeme, con suerte logro escribir de manera decente, ahora imaginen mi capacidad para dibujar jajaja.
