Well, today I come to share with you a Pokémon that I have never seen an evolution, the great Pinsir.
It's one of the biggest Pokémon I've made so far, plus it has very interesting pieces to make. I invite you to see the creative process of this character:

Step by step
For this figurine, besides plasticine, I used wire, paint, glue and wooden sticks.
It is a character that needs a little more materials than the other figurines, because it has thin arms and those huge tweezers that make honor to its name.
Well, I started with this figurine taking several pieces of plasticine of different colors, these would serve as filler for the figure, for being of such a big size; in fact, I think that this will be the standard size for the evolutions or Pokémon of great size, Snorlak type, otherwise if I make them to scale it would be difficult the space.
Paso a paso
Para esta figurita, además de plastilina, usé alambre, pintura, pegamento y palillos de madera.
Es un personaje que necesita un poco mas de materiales que las otras figuritas, pues tiene brazos delgados y esas enormes pinzas que hacen honor a su nombre.
Pues bien, comencé con esta figurita tomando varios trozos de plastilina de diversos colores, estos servirían de relleno para la figura, por ser de un tamaño tan grande; de hecho, pienso que este será el tamaño estándar para las evoluciones o Pokémon de gran tamaño, tipo Snorlak, de lo contrario si los hago a escala sería difícil el espacio.
Well, after making the stuffing I covered it with brown plasticine, only in a slightly more opaque color, the same brown color that the body of the character is made of.
As you can see in the image, the shape of Pirsin's body is like a sunflower seed with the tip down and a little thicker, not so thin.
Pues bien, después de hacer el relleno lo cubrí con plastilina de color marrón, solo que de un color un poco mas opaco, el mismo color marrón del que está hecho el cuerpo del personaje.
Como pueden ver en la imagen, la forma del cuerpo de Pirsin es como el de una semilla de girasol con la punta hacia abajo y un poco mas gruesa, no tan delgada.
As a good insect, it has things of an insect, to be more specific, of a beetle. The abdomen of an insect has this series of horizontal lines, so does this Pirsin, the lower lines being thinner than the upper ones.
Como buen insecto, tiene cosas de insecto, para ser más específico, de un escarabajo. El abdomen de un insecto tiene esta serie de líneas horizontales, así también este Pirsin, siendo las líneas de abajo más delgadas que más superiores.
For the mouth, I made a huge hole between the top strip and the second one.
Although at first I thought of just making the mouth by putting plasticine in that shape, I thought it would be better to make it hollow and so I did. I cut the big hole and painted it with black paint, then added a layer of glue.
Para la boca, hice un enorme agujero entre la franja superior y la segunda.
Aunque en un primer momento pensé en solo hacer la boca colocándole plastilina con esa forma, pensé que sería mejor hacerla hueca y así hice. Corté el gran agujero y lo pinté con pintura negra, luego le agregué una capa de pegamento.
The arms of the Pokémon are thin, so I had to use two pieces of wire and cover it with plasticine to give it this shape that you can see in the image below. In the same way, I used the glue and the wire to fix the two arms on the body of the character.
Los brazos del Pokémon son delgados, así que tuve que usar dos trozos de alambre y cubrirlo con plastilina para poder darle esta forma que pueden ver en la imagen de abajo. De igual manera, usé el pegamento y el alambre para fijar los dos brazos en el cuerpo del personaje.
I made the legs with the same brown plasticine, they are a hemisphere with a wavy line in the horizontal of the piece, with three claws, two in front and one behind.
Las patas las hice con la misma plastilina marrón, son una semiesfera con una línea ondulada en el horizontal de la pieza, con tres garras, dos adelante y una detrás.
After finishing the legs, I used two more wires to fix the two pieces in place, helped of course by more glue. Being a standing figure, it is obvious that it must be firm to stand upright.
Después de terminar las piernas, usé dos alambres más para fijar las dos piezas en su lugar, ayudándome por supuesto de más pegamento. La ser una figura que se mantiene de pie, es evidente que debe estar firme para poder mantenerse de pie.
One iconic thing about the character is his huge horns or pincers or pincers, whatever you prefer to call them. These are two huge, slightly bent cones, with more spikes along the length of the piece. I used white plasticine, mixed with a very small amount of black.
To attach them to Pinsir's body I also used wires and glue.
Algo icónico del personaje son sus enormes cuernos o pinzas o tenazas, como prefieras llamarle. Estas son dos enormes conos un poco doblados, con más púas a lo largo de la pieza. Usé plastilina de color blanca, mezclada con una cantidad muy pequeña de negro.
Para fijarlas en el cuerpo de Pinsir también usé alambres y pegamento.

Finally I made the teeth and the eyes. I must admit that the teeth were not at all easy to make, as they are very small pieces. I glued them with glue, using wire at this point was not functional because of the size of the piece.
The eyes were also made with plasticine, they were not painted.
Por último hice los dientes y los ojos. Los dientes debo admitir que no fueron para nada fáciles de hacer, pues son piezas muy pequeñas. Las pegué con pegamento, usar alambre en este punto no era funcional por el tamaño de la pieza.
Los ojos también fueron hechos con plastilina, no fueron pintados.

Very well done, especially the mouth with the teeth, it really conveys the impression of the original pokemon, plus those teeth look very delicate to make.
