Greetings friends. The other day I was thinking about how to make a simple pendant, easy to make but nice or at least not look like something made of plastic.
By chance I was watching Naruto and it occurred to me to make a pendant similar to the Uzumaki's symbol. Although this seemed like a good idea, I wanted to do something more original and this is what came out.

Saludos amigos. El otro día estuve pensando en cómo hacer un dije sencillo, fácil de hacer pero que fuese bonito o por lo menos que no pareciera algo de plastico.
Casualmente estaba viendo Naruto y se me ocurrió hacer un dije parecido al símbolo de los Uzumaki. Aunque esto me pareció buena idea, quise hacer algo más original y esto fue lo que salió.
Step by step
The materials I used for this pendant were flexible dough, wire and tweezers.

Los materiales que utilicé para este dije fueron masa flexible, alambre y pinzas.
The flexible dough is a moldable material like plasticine, with the advantage that it can harden in a short time, simply by leaving it in the air.
This makes it especially useful for making key chains or charms. Precisely to start making this pendant I made a long strip of flexible dough, it is little because the pendant is small, so just take as much as you need.
La masa flexible es un material moldeable como la plastilina, con la ventaja que puede endurecerse al poco tiempo, simplemente dejándolo al aire.
Esto lo hace especialmente útil para hacer llaveros o dijes. Precisamente para comenzar a hacer este dije hice una larga tira de masa flexible, es poco porque el dije es pequeño, así que solo tomen la que necesiten.
With this long strip of flexible dough I began to make the swirl, the idea is that the center is a little more compact, without any space.
The following turns can be done a little more disorderly, leaving spaces.
Con esta larga tira de masa flexible comencé a hacer el remolino, la idea es que el centro esté un poco mas compacto, sin ningún espacio.
Ya las siguientes vueltas se pueden hacer un poco mas desordenado, dejando espacios.

As I said at the beginning of the publication, the idea is to make a simple shape for the base of the charm, the beauty comes later.
As you can see the base shape of the pendant is ready. So as soon as it starts to dry, you can place the wire and the ring that will be used to hang the pendant.
This should be done when it is about to dry because the outside will be a little hard but the inside will still be soft, which will allow the wire to hold better and the flexible dough to dry and harden around the wire.
Cómo dije la comienzo de la publicación, la idea es hacer una forma sencilla para la base del dije, ya lo bonito viene después.
Cómo pueden ver la forma base del dije está lista. Así que tan pronto como comience a secarse, se le puede colocar el alambre y la argolla que servirán para colgarse el dije.
Esto debe hacerse cuando está a punto de secar porque el exterior estará un poco duro pero el interior aún suave, lo cual permitirá que el alambre se sostenga mejor y la masa flexible se seque y endurezca alrededor del alambre.
Of course, this wire sticking out of the spiral is not entirely aesthetic.
If you look at the picture above, I placed another long strip of flexible dough next to the spiral, much smaller than the one I had made before.
This thin strip of material I wrapped it around the wire protruding from the swirl, to hide it, so that only the wire ring is exposed.

Si se fijan en la imagen de arriba, ahí coloqué junto al espiral otra larga tira de masa flexible, mucho más pequeña que la que había hecho anteriormente.
Esta delgada tira de material la enrollé alrededor del alambre que sobresale del remolino, para esconderlo, de esta manera solo queda al descubierto la argolla de alambre.
At this point the painting process begins. This should only be done when the flexible mass is completely dry, otherwise the paint will not set well.
In this type of charms I usually use a base of a neutral color, usually white or black. As black is stronger, it is not necessary to use too many layers of paint to cover the whole charm.
In the image below you can see how the pendant looks with the first coat of black paint.
Llegado a este punto comienza el proceso de pintado. Esto hay que hacerlo solamente cuando la masa flexible esté completamente seca, de lo contrario la pintura no se fijará bien.
En este tipo de dijes suelo utilizar una base de un color neutro, por lo general blanco o negro. Cómo el negro es más fuerte, no es necesario usar demasiadas capas de pintura para cubrir todo el dije.
En la imagen de abajo pueden observar como se ve el dije con la primera capa de pintura negra.
The idea with this charm is to make it interesting, so after applying all the layers of black paint, I used a layer of glue and once that dried, I used silver paint.
The way I painted it was with the dry brush technique. A couple of coats was enough.
La idea con este dije es hacerlo interesante, así que después de aplicar todas las capas de pintura negra, utilicé una capa de pegamento y una vez que este secó, usé pintura plateada.
La manera en que lo pinté fue con la técnica del pincel seco. Con un par de capas fue suficiente.
Then, to give a little color to the silver, I used a couple of coats of blue paint, resulting in a pretty cool metallic blue touch.
Luego, para darle un poco de color al plateado, usé un par de capas de pintura azul, quedando con un toque de azúl metalizado bastante genial.
Finally, I used silver paint for the other side of the pendant, so that it would have two colors, one on each side.
Finalmente usé pintura plateada para la otra cara del dije, para que tuviese dos colores, uno en cada cara.
