This week, our school will be celebrating Founder's Day event, and here’s what we’ve done in preparation. From making accessories, creating our "Psych" name lettering, preparing for dance presentations, to designing and working on costumes.
Here are some essentials that I managed to take pictures of. By the way, these tasks are just a continuation because the other day, my classmates already worked on some of them.
The lettering-making will be used as event props, and we are creating five big letters to spell out the word PSYCH.
Here’s a close-up of the work. As you can see, we’re using candles and glue stick to attach the cardboards together.
Next, we’ll be putting some double-sided tape to attach foil to the surfaces.
We’re also using scotch tape for added support.
After many hours of work, it’s finally finished. It was definitely worth it because the word "PSYCH" came out perfectly, and the color combination truly complemented the design. It looks amazing, and you wouldn’t even guess that we used cardboard, scotch tape, and a glue stick to make it because it turned out so polished and presentable.
And here’s the bead-making project. These beads will be used to create bracelets and necklaces, which are needed for our ethnic dance performance.
Are you wondering what the finished product looks like? Well, here it is!
Yes, they look great! They’re visually appealing and perfectly suited for the ethnic dancers to wear during the presentation.
Here are materials for the leotards. My classmates will be painting the designs onto the white fabric.
As you can see, my classmates are cutting fabric for the costumes of our performers in the ethnic dance. Teamwork is really important here to ensure that the cuts are straight and not uneven.
One of my talented classmate is sewing the fabric using a machine. I was really amazed because learning how to do something like that has been one of my goals for a long time.
I also added some double-sided tape here, which will be used to create costumes for our backup dancers in the Gaya-Gaya competition.
And yes, this is how we prepare right before Founder's Day! I hope you enjoyed reading!!!
