These last few days I have been a bit unmotivated regarding creating content to upload, I have started to doubt the quality of my content, still I try to relax, distract myself, and start again another day with a more positive mindset.
En esta oportunidad quise compartir con ustedes un dibujo al que le tengo mucho cariño, es un poco viejo y este sería un DIY algo corto, pero igual es un dibujo bastante relevante para mí, tanto por su significado implícito o el concepto con el que lo hice, y porque además de eso me gustó mucho el resultado.

On this occasion, I wanted to share with you a drawing that I cherish a lot; it is a bit old and this would be a somewhat short DIY, but it is still a drawing that is quite relevant to me, both for its implicit meaning or the concept with which I made it, and because besides that I really liked the result.

Algo interesante de este dibujo es que lo realicé sin un boceto hecho a grafito, simplemente era una idea que tenía atascada en la cabeza desde hace unos meses y decidí plasmarla en un momento de productividad e hiperfoco. La plasmé directamente en el papel con mi fiel compañero el bolígrafo roller.

Something interesting about this drawing is that I did it without a graphite sketch; it was simply an idea that had been stuck in my head for a few months, and I decided to capture it in a moment of productivity and hyperfocus. I put it directly on the paper with my faithful companion, the roller pen.
Recuerdo que a la hora de crearlo pensé en la frase de la canción "Everything I wanted" de Billie Eilish, que dice: «I tried to scream, but my head is underwatter». Me imaginaba algo como una chica sumergida en un tanque, lleno de sus propias lágrimas hasta el tope, inmóvil, agotada y sin poder gritar. Representa un poco cómo me siento a veces... Quizá mi concepto es un poco rebuscado, pero aún así me gustó la representación que hice estéticamente hablando.

I remember that when creating it, I thought of the phrase from the song "Everything I wanted" by Billie Eilish, which says: «I tried to scream, but my head is underwater». I imagined something like a girl submerged in a tank, filled to the brim with her own tears, motionless, exhausted, and unable to scream. It represents a bit how I feel sometimes... Perhaps my concept is a bit convoluted, but I still liked the representation I made aesthetically speaking.
No tengo muchas fotos del paso a paso porque, como mencioné, fue una idea que plasmé de la nada directamente en tinta.

I don’t have many photos of the step-by-step because, as I mentioned, it was an idea that I captured out of nowhere directly in ink.
Intenté dibujarlo una primera vez, traté de hacer a la protagonista sentada en el fondo del tanque con las piernas cruzadas, pero la posición no me quedó muy bien, además le coloqué todo el cabello con tinta en la cara, se veía algo siniestro y aterrador, no tengo problemas con ello, pero en cuanto a diseño quedó muy aburrido y poco representativo... He aquí mi primer intento. Sí, parece que le falta un exorcismo con urgencia o regresar al pentagrama del que salió.

I tried to draw it for the first time; I tried to make the protagonist sitting at the bottom of the tank with her legs crossed, but the position didn’t turn out very well; besides, I placed all her hair with ink on her face; it looked somewhat sinister and terrifying. I have no problem with that, but in terms of design, it turned out very boring and unrepresentative... Here is my first attempt. Yes, it looks like it urgently needs an exorcism or to return to the pentagram from which it came.
⚠︎- Para hacer este dibujo no usé una imagen de referencia, por lo que no sabía muy bien cómo debía ser el coloreado, nunca había dibujado nada debajo del agua. Pero hice lo que pude. Elegí una paleta de colores opuesta yendo de los morados azules y verdosos, al amarillo pálido o en este caso beige o arena. - ⚠︎

⚠︎- To make this drawing, I didn’t use a reference image, so I didn’t know very well how the coloring should be; I had never drawn anything underwater. But I did what I could. I chose an opposite color palette going from purples and blues to pale yellow or in this case beige or sand. - ⚠︎

- Recuerdo que lo primero que dibujé para no echar el dibujo a perder, fue su cuerpo, empezando por el cuello, los hombros, brazos, el torzo y por último, las piernas.

I remember that the first thing I drew to not ruin the drawing was her body, starting with the neck, shoulders, arms, torso, and finally, the legs.
- La cabeza y el rostro fue lo último que tracé, con mucho miedo de echar a perder todo lo que había hecho. Es un poco raro que haya empezado por la parte inferior del personaje, pero creo que de esta manera se me hace menos complicado meter la pata, creo que también depende del diseño del dibujo.

The head and face were the last things I traced, with a lot of fear of ruining everything I had done. It’s a bit strange that I started with the lower part of the character, but I think this way it makes it less complicated for me to mess up; I think it also depends on the design of the drawing.
- Por último, dibujé el cabello con movimiento hacia arriba, me recuerda un poco a Jimmy neutrón, debo admitir que al principio me pareció cool, luego me dió mucha risa, luego me dió vergüenza... En fin, no es momento de hablar de los ciclos emocionales que experimento cada vez que hago un dibujo nuevo. ｡◕‿◕｡

Finally, I drew the hair moving upwards; it reminds me a bit of Jimmy Neutron; I must admit that at first, it seemed cool to me, then it made me laugh a lot, then it embarrassed me... Anyway, it's not the time to talk about the emotional cycles I experience every time I make a new drawing. ｡◕‿◕｡
- Lo siguiente que hice fue el tanque al rededor de la chica y las burbujas. Empecé a colorear el agua dentro del tanque, usé el jade para la parte superior, el azúl claro y azúl pasto para la zona intermedia, azúl pasto, y el azúl normal y el prusia para el fondo del tanque. Quería que diera el efecto de profundidad.

The next thing I did was the tank around the girl and the bubbles. I started coloring the water inside the tank; I used jade for the top part, light blue and grass blue for the middle area, grass blue, normal blue, and prussian blue for the bottom of the tank. I wanted it to give the effect of depth.
- Decidí colocar el arena y ocre suave para las zonas iluminadas en las partes del cuerpo de Minerva. Para el tono intermedio de la piel usé el jade y usé el efecto de el agua reflejada en la superficie de su cuerpo como un modo de dar profundidad.

I decided to use sand and soft ochre for the illuminated areas on Minerva's body. For the mid-tone of the skin, I used jade and applied the effect of water reflected on the surface of her body as a way to add depth.

I colored the clothes with the darkest areas in lavender, purple, and a bit of blue, and for the water light reflections, I decided to add aqua.
- Me habría gustado hacer muchas cosas mejor, pero supongo que por ahora me conformo con esto. Probablemente luego haga un draw this again challenge de este dibujo. Espero haber mejorado mucho la idea para entonces y lograr expresar mejor el concepto y de una manera más estética.

I would have liked to do many things better, but I guess I'm satisfied with this for now. I will probably do a "draw this again" challenge of this drawing later. I hope to have improved the idea a lot by then and to be able to express the concept better and in a more aesthetic way.

El coloreado de tus dibujos siempre me parece una genialidad. ¿Has estudiado teoría del color? Porque si no es así, creo que tienes talento en eso especialmente.
No te desanimes, creo en ti. 🩷✨ Recuerda ser constante, pero tampoco olvides priorizar tu salud mental.
Verdad que si, habla como toda una experta de los colores, en cambio yo no creo conocer más de 10 colores jaja
Ahora entiendo cuando los panas se molestan conmigo cuando a mí no me gusta las cosas que escribo y para ellos es algo arrechísimo.. entiendo totalmente cuando no crees o dudas de ti misma, yo soy igual, pero en cambio tú eres una valiente porque a pesar de tus dudas te atreviste a compartirnos tu dibujo 😃 que por cierto, te quedó criminal 🔥 el cabello de Jimmy neutron, los colores, todo, incluso el primer boceto yo lo usaría hasta para la portada de un álbum musical🔥
Desde mi punto de vista y gustos, yo le hubiese cruzado los pies y no los brazos.. no se, aquí me voy a poner intenso jeje.. pienso que el cruzar los brazos sin que estuvieran atados le da redundancia en su concepto de rendición, ya de por si, está rendida, ahogada en sus propias lágrimas...

Hola. Nunca dejes de creer en ti misma, de verdad que tus publicaciones las que he logrado ver me han encantado y me han motivado, y si a mí me motivan, tú que eres la creadora pues debes inspirarte y motivarte aún más a seguir adelante.
Eres excelente en lo que haces nos muestras un paso a paso como muchos no lo hacen, tienes una capacidad para crear, dibujar y para mezclar colores genial.
