Felizmente llegué al día 21 de mi recuperación Post Operatoria, y decidí empezar a calentar los motores haciendo una adorable lámpara de noche con un frasco de vidrio que reciclé... Hacía algunas semanas atrás vi un modelo parecido que me enamoró, pero en vista del reposo no podía inventar mucho, así que tan pronto me sentí mejor, puse manos a la obra. Por cierto, me alegré mucho al ver que la iniciativa de esta semana justamente tenía que ver con cosas que realizaríamos con vidrio reciclado.

Les comentaré la manera tan práctica en la que realicé esta hermosa lampara.

Happily I reached day 21 of my post-op recovery, and I decided to start warming up the engines by making a lovely night lamp with a glass jar that I recycled... A few weeks ago I saw a similar model that I fell in love with, but in view of the rest I could not invent much, so as soon as I felt better, I got down to work. By the way, I was very happy to see that this week's initiative had to do with things we would do with recycled glass.

I will tell you about the practical way in which I made this beautiful lamp.

PASOS 🪔 STEPS

🪔 Inicialmente que tenemos el frasco de vidrio, bien sea de botella o tipo vaso dependiendo de lo que disponga en casa, lo lavamos bien por dentro y fuera para retirar los restos de grasa y calcomanías pegadas en el exterior, ya que esto le restaría presencia.

Una vez esté totalmente empezamos armar nuestra lámpara. Con la pistola de Silicon previamente caliente, medimos donde colocaremos los palillos y agregamos un punto de Silicon, seguidamente empezamos a pegar los palillos.

En mi caso, no lo quería tan tupido, así que deje 1cm aproximadamente de distancia entre palillos, hasta dar por completo la vuelta al frasco.

🪔 Initially that we have the glass jar, either bottle or glass type depending on what you have at home, we wash it well inside and out to remove traces of grease and stickers stuck on the outside, as this would subtract presence.

Once it is completely ready, we start to assemble our lamp. With the Silicon gun previously heated, we measure where we will place the sticks and add a dot of Silicon, then we start to glue the sticks.

In my case, I didn't want it so tight, so I left about 1cm distance between the toothpicks, until I completely turn the jar.

🪔 Una vez están todos los palillos pegados al frasco, tomé el mecatillo y lo empecé a entrelazar por los palitos que sobresalían en la parte inferior. Daban la apariencia de tejido de cesta.

También coloqué mecatillo en medio de la lámpara para dar un poco más de soporte a los palillos y agregué un detalle con florecitas para hacerlo más cuchi ✨.

Por último selle las puntas de los palillos al inicio de la lámpara con algunas vueltas de mecatillo... Esto dio el aspecto de una lámpara de botella antigua.

Finalmente le coloqué en la parte interna unas luces inalámbricas en tono cálido. Al encenderlas daban una apariencia romántica y acogedora.

🪔 Once all the sticks are attached to the jar, I took the mecatillo and started weaving it through the sticks sticking out at the bottom. They gave the appearance of basket weaving.

I also placed mecatillo in the middle of the lamp to give a little more support to the sticks and added a little flower detail to make it cuchi ✨.

Finally I sealed the ends of the chopsticks at the beginning of the lamp with a few twists of mecatillo.... This gave the look of an antique bottle lamp.

Finally I attached some warm tone cordless lights to the inside. When turned on they gave a romantic and cozy look.

Sinceramente quedé muy enamorada del resultado... No imaginé que se vería tan lindo. Las luces le dieron ese plus, también había pensado en colocar velas pequeñitas, pero tenía a disposición las luces y el resultado fue hermoso.

Estamos en planes de renovar nuestro balcón, hacer esta lamparita me dió varias ideas, entre ellas, podría hacer varias lámparas de este estilo y ver de qué manera le agrego un sócate con un mini bombillo, creo que sería un ambiente muy acogedor.

Además de estar dando un excelente uso a las botellas de vidrio, pues además de reciclarlas y cuidar nuestro hermoso planeta que tanto sufre, se puede embellecer nuestro hogar. El vidrio y el mecatillo son una combinación realmente elegante y versátil.

I was honestly in love with the result.... I didn't imagine it would look so nice. The lights gave it that plus, I had also thought of placing tiny candles, but I had the lights at my disposal and the result was beautiful.

We are planning to renovate our balcony, making this lamp gave me several ideas, among them, I could make several lamps and see how I can add a socket with a mini bulb, I think it would be a very cozy atmosphere.

In addition to being giving an excellent use to glass bottles, because in addition to recycling them and taking care of our beautiful planet that suffers so much, you can beautify our home. Glass and mecatillo are a really elegant and versatile combination.
