Una Polilla en casa / A moth in the house
Estos animales son nocturnos, eso sí, se quedan dormidos donde sea, a veces no piensan en los peligros que hay sobre el pavimento. Con cuidado la tomé y la coloqué en un tronco, para que terminará su día segura y para que una vez se ocultara el sol, se marchara a cumplir su papel biológico politizador.
Hello friends of the Hive Diy community, it's been a while since I made a new character, I had forgotten my fabrics and threads. However, a few days ago, I was walking down the street and on the pavement there was a large black and gold moth. This animal was about 10 centimeters long, had large legs and was full of hair. Its eyes were large and it had long fringed antennae, which confirmed to me that it was a moth, not a butterfly.
These animals are nocturnal, that's for sure, they fall asleep anywhere, sometimes they don't think about the dangers on the pavement. I carefully picked it up and placed it on a log, so that it would finish its day safely and once the sun went down, it would leave to fulfill its biological politicizing role.

Para hacerla necesité retazos de tela negra, también algunas peluches negro y beige. Hilo, aguja, tijeras y unas bolas marrón para que sirvieran como ojos.
I like these animals so much that every time I have the fortune to meet one, I am thankful for this gift and since I had taken a few pictures, I decided to make a fabric Euryglottis to have this character among my handmade dolls.
To make it I needed scraps of black fabric, also some black and beige stuffed animals. Thread, needle, scissors and some brown balls to serve as eyes.
Tomamos alambre y le damos la forma deseada, en este caso necesitaba 6 patas, 3 a cada lado, una cabeza y una cola o abdomen. Cubrí las que serían las patas con tela negra y adicional usé una tela con peluche para darle un efecto más real, porque las patas de la polilla tienen vellos.
También coloqué el cuerpo, este lo fui cosiendo sobre el esqueleto de alambre y le coloqué un poco de relleno para darle volumen.
We take wire and give it the desired shape, in this case I needed 6 legs, 3 on each side, a head and a tail or abdomen. I covered what would be the legs with black fabric and additionally I used a fabric with fur to give it a more realistic effect, because the moth's legs have hair.
I also placed the body, which I sewed over the wire skeleton and put some stuffing to give it volume.
Sobre el cuerpo adherí peluche animal print y aunque este animal no es un felino, está tonalidad beige con marrón le iba bastante bien. También le puse dos ojos que no eran más que dos bolas de madera y le hice la proboside con alambre enrollado y que pinté de beige. La proboside es una protuberancia que tienen estos animales, algo así como una trompa fina y delgada por donde absorben el polen.
También le hice antenas, aquí utilicé un color más vistoso para que se distinguieran de lo demás.

I also put two eyes that were nothing more than two wooden balls and I made the proboside with rolled wire and painted it beige. The proboside is a protuberance that these animals have, something like a thin and thin trunk through which they absorb the pollen.
I also made antennae, here I used a more colorful color to distinguish them from the rest.
Lo único que faltaba, eran hacer las alas, las cuales eran oscuras y tenían figuras doradas. Por eso con pintura dorada le hice algunos arabescos y adherí al cuerpo que ya estaba hecho. Es así como tras un buen rato cortando tela y cosiendo, pude dar origen a una polilla del género Euryglottis.
The only thing missing was to make the wings, which were dark and had golden figures. So with gold paint I made some arabesques and adhered them to the body that was already made. This is how, after a long time cutting and sewing, I was able to create a moth of the genus Euryglottis.

Y así me despido, con esta polilla que ahora se unirá a mis otros amigos hechos de tela.
Moths are fantastic animals that help in the work of pollination, and also serve as food for other animals. Some people are afraid of them or even think they are a bad omen, we respect each person's beliefs, however, always keep in mind that every being, every animal on the planet, has a function to maintain the balance of the planet.
And so I say goodbye, with this moth that will now join my other friends made of fabric.

Cada especie tiene un papel importante en los ecosistemas y algunas veces por desinformación se les hace daño. Por eso, me gusta hablar de ellas y contar que son polinizadoras una labor muy importante para la biodiversidad del planeta.

Vaya, este post está genial @marpa, que mejor manera de rendirle tributo a estos especiales insectos que haciendo una figura tejida, te quedó excelente. Además de esto, acompañaste tu publicación con una información muy acertada en lo que respecta a la importancia de estas y otras polillas, gracias por reubicarla a un lugar más seguro, le diste una oportunidad de seguir viva y de continuar contribuyendo en los ecosistemas, un abrazoo.
Son animales rechazados por su aspecto, pero, muy valiosos para el equilibrio de los ecosistemas. :) por eso quería tener una en casa, para contar historias.
