Hola amigos de Hive Diy!! Hoy les traigo un tutorial para transformar un puff, y vamos a utilizar la técnica del patchwork, esta técnica es ideal para reutilizar esos pedazos de telas que nos sobran de otros proyectos, o de esa ropa que quizás está manchada. Esta técnica la podemos realizar infinidad de proyectos (carteras, cojines, cuadros decorativos, sábanas), además que podemos combinar colores y texturas. En mi casa, teníamos este puff en el cuarto que no queríamos desecharlo, y necesitaba un cambio. Decidí forrarlo con retazos de telas de jean y les voy a mostrar el paso a paso.
Hello friends of Hive Diy! Today I bring you a tutorial to transform a puff, and we will use the patchwork technique, this technique is ideal for reusing those pieces of fabrics that we have left over from other projects, or those clothes that may be stained. This technique can be used for an infinite number of projects (purses, cushions, decorative pictures, sheets), and we can combine colors and textures. In my house, we had this puff in the room that we didn't want to throw away, and it needed a change. I decided to line it with scraps of jean fabrics and I'm going to show you the step by step.
Vamos a necesitar:
Tela de blue jean, yo reutilice varios jeans viejos que tenía.
tijeras
maquina de coser
hilo y aguja
Grapas de tapicería
Grapadora de tapiceria
Cinta métrica
We will need:
Blue jean fabric, I reused several old jeans I had.
scissors
sewing machine
thread and needle
Upholstery staples
Upholstery stapler
Tape measure
Procedimiento - Procedure
Primero, corte cuadros de tela de jean en medidas 27x27cm, 28x28 y 43 cm x 25 cm.
First, cut squares of jean fabric in 27x27cm, 28x28 and 43 cm x 25 cm.
Luego, fui combinando los retazos de tela y cosiéndolos a mano cada cuadro hasta ir formando un cuadrado grande que tiene las medidas 63 centímetros de ancho por 52 centímetros de largo, este cuadrado será la parte superior de nuestro puff.
Then, I combined the fabric scraps and sewed each square by hand to form a large square measuring 63 centimeters wide by 52 centimeters long, this square will be the top of our puff.
Cuando este todo, basteado vamos a coserlo con nuestra máquina de coser , tomando como guías las costuras que realizamos en el paso anterior y nos quedará un recuadro así.
When it is all basteado we are going to sew it with our sewing machine, taking as guides the seams that we made in the previous step and we will have a box like this.
Para la parte inferior tome una tela gris que tenía y medí el contorno de mi puff, en mi caso medida de 2 metros con 25 cm de largo x 18 cm de ancho ( yo le agregue dos centímetros de más para poderlo coser y forrar bien y que no se rasgara la tela, al momento de forrarlo.
Cosí, la tela gris a el cuadrado que ya había realizado con los retazos de jean.
For the lower part I took a gray fabric I had and measured the contour of my puff, in my case measuring 2 meters 25 cm long x 18 cm wide (I added two extra centimeters to be able to sew and line it well and not tear the fabric when lining it).
I sewed the gray fabric to the square I had already made with the jean scraps.
Una vez cosido todo nuestro puff, procedí a colocarlo dentro del puff y con la grapadora de tapicería , iba haciendo dobleces y grababa, aquí es bien sencillo es como forrar un regalo o un cuaderno, una vez terminado nos quedará así.
Once sewn all our puff, I proceeded to place it inside the puff and with the upholstery stapler, I was making folds and recorded, here it is very simple is like lining a gift or a notebook, once finished we will be like this.
Y ahora, sólo nos queda colocar nuestro cojín forrado a la base y tenemos nuestro puff renovado.
And now, we only have to place our cushion lined to the base and we have our renovated puff.
Si tienen algún sillón arrumado, pueden intentar darle una renovación con esta técnica,si no tienen la grapadora de tapicería, pueden realizar unos cojines y darle a sus espacios un toque especial.
If you have an armchair, you can try to renovate it with this technique, if you do not have the upholstery stapler, you can make some cushions and give your spaces a special touch.

Con una grapadora de esa se pueden realizar muchos proyectos de restauracion, que chévere, una pregunta hay que realizar mucha fuerza para grapar con este tipo de grapadora?
