When it comes to creativity, creating new things or fixing repairs in the home I can not expressed just how blessed I feel being able to save myself alot of financial cost of either calling a repairer(engineers and other workers) or giving out these diy jobs for for someone else to do for me. There are several benefits to being able to fix things by yourself aside from saving you money, which people have often placed emphasis on. For me, there is often this feeling of accomplishment I get with my DIY task. I fix items my own way and feel excited and satisfied. Sometimes, when you call a repairer, they don't seem to do a better job either.
And in another instance, my skills and sense of creativity at several tasks are improved whenever I engage in DIY activities. While working, you find out new ways of fixing things, which end up being useful to not just yourself but everyone around you.
Most of my DIY activities at home are carried out by myself, and unless it is an area of expertise that needs a skilled worker, I hardly employ anyone to help me get things done.
This very same attribute is what I am teaching my teenage younger ones as well. I taught them how to save some money by amending their torn clothes with needles and thread, how to do simple stitching, cooking, and cleaning, and how to do laundry on their own clothes, including barbing their hair.
I have saved the boys the need to visit a salon to cut their hair by purchasing a mini clipper for them. Even though they had no prior skill in barbing, I told them to explore and see what they could do with the clipper. Even as a lady, I have had to barber my younger brother's hair when he wasn't getting it right at first. Nobody visits the barbershop from my family. We make our hair ourselves. My older sister helped me make my own hair too. She has a hand dryer and straightener, and some of the tools ladies feel should be found in a salon alone. Since we have these items at home, no one goes out for hair-making, both genders.
If there is a need to carry out DIY activities, then we must be willing to purchase our working tools, as not many professional workers in such a field will be willing to lend us their tools whenever we need to work with them; hence, I try as much as I can to purchase some needed working tools at home.
I have a tool bag containing hammers, screwdrivers of different sizes, lots of concrete nails, and a bottle. We use this to fix the curtains, tables, and some other items.
I have gone from just purchasing hand tools to heavy-duty machines as well. You can see some of the arrays, my sewing machines, and my workshop setting.
I make clothes for myself, my family, and friends. A DIY of a traditional outfit and some of the clothes I made for myself can be seen here.
Since I equally keep a vegetable garden, I have some how's and cutlasses in the house with plans to add shovels and rakes. These are very helpful for clearing bushes and doing my gardening tasks.
In some instances, when I need a DIY tool I can get, I often reach out to find out how I can improvise on the tools needed. While the plastic types of this pattern design tool I use for my fashion work are quite expensive, I have reached out to a carpenter to help me carve out a semblance of the tools that can be used. Hence, I have some of my fashion design tools in wooden form.

The many benefits of being able to do these DIY tasks can never be overemphasized, and having your working tools close by makes it all complete. You can work and do so with ease, saving yourself money and feeling accomplished to do things in a unique manner.

One thing I know for sure is that you are one hardworking and productive lady, investing in all these tools will surely make certain costs of fixing repairs in the house easier for you to manage, and to top it all your knowledge is versatile. Well done dear.
Thank a lot dear. It’s kind of you to say
It's good to see your DIY tools and it's impressive that you give lessons to your younger ones to save time and save things to make DIY.
it's great to read you that same like me you prefer to do your diy projects to be done by you at home. Same pinch!
Hahahah....that's great dear.
Thanks for stopping by.
It is always good to solve domestic chores on our own and having tools at home always helps a lot, it is good that you teach your children trade tasks, in some way or another it is a training for the future.
An important training I must say.
Thank you
you've got loads of tools in diverse areas and each are quite effective, I like the fact that you got a clipper for the boys to cut their hair and save cost of paying the Barber.
Too many infections from that bathing salon too. Thank you
I think there is no better job than the one done by oneself, at home we apply the same methodology, I fixed several things by watching YouTube tutorials hahahaha, I plan to continue like this unless it is something electric or gas, then I can do everything else or else I'll find a way to learn it.
