Photo restoration can be both complicated and enjoyable. I try to do it occasionally. It was in demand before and still is. Currently, I see design on some pages, there is a lot of talk about it. Because now many AI have come, which can do these tasks very easily. Can't be 100% accurate but makes a lot of work easier due to which it takes much less time to do the rest of the work.
I'm not an expert, but I can manage. I do everything manually using the beta version of Photoshop. I don't use any AI help. The reason I use the beta version is because it has a special tool called a "neural filter" that makes this kind of photo restoration really simple. If you're interested, you can find lots of videos on YouTube that show you how to do this kind of photo restoration. Or, if you prefer, I've included pictures here to show you the steps I took.
Here's how I do it:
First, import an image into the Photoshop Better Art Board.
Then go to filter option and click on neural filter. A page like this will appear. At the very bottom of it, turn on two options. This will basically remove the cracked spots from your image. After that, select the new layer in the output and make it OK.
After that, use the camera raw filter to make the image sharper and more beautiful.
Then go to neural filter again and click on colorize option. It will automatically add color to your black and white photos.
It didn't add color everywhere in some of my images. As it is. Some parts of it have no color change.
In that case, first select that color part with pen tool and make it a new layer. Go to the new layer and click on the colorize option again, you will see that the color is done. If not then you have to color yourself from the options below. Because not everything is done by software, some work has to be done by yourself.
You can also use more filters if you want, but I didn't need to in this case. I hope you like what I did, and I'm here to help if you have any questions. I know you might face some challenges, and if you do, feel free to tell me. I'll do my best to help you out. Thanks for reading .
I've always admired your photoshop skill, but this is something unique and rarely seen anyone embarking on such projects. This particular restoration project has a demand on the market if I'm not wrong, i was connected to this once so i know.
Btw, would you mind dropping your discord id here or alternatively, you can find me on #bangla_lounge. I believe you have access to this. Cheers!
