Sewing Motif Hijab DIY

On the sidelines of being busy as a social worker in the villages I work with. Today again I help my wife to sew. Stitching orders that we usually receive from customers are orders for hijabs with interesting and unique motifs.

Our sewing work is built from home. While babysitting, my wife received several orders for hijabs to be ordered and sewn. There are those who request colors according to their taste and there are also those who order directly by buying the hijab that we have produced at home.

This Sunday, my wife and I prepared hijabs for school children. There are about 80 hijabs that we have to prepare within 4 days. In accordance with the agreement with the customer, the hijab must be ready for us to sew on Monday to be re-embroidered.

This is certainly a challenge for my wife, with so many tasks in the household, taking care of 4 children as well as sewing. This situation prompted me to help finish the work of sewing her hijab.

Our stages in the process of sewing this hijab are:

Prepare the fabric according to the tastes of the customer.
Cut the Fabric from 1 roll to a size of 150 cm x 150 cm
Rolling with neci machine
Make motifs with the Singer Quantum Stylish 9960 sewing machine
Make the shape of the hijab according to the tastes of the customer by using a typical high speed sewing machine.
Finishing process to customer

From the several steps above, today we have just arrived at step 4. This process is a little slow considering the duration of time we need to make a motif on 1 hijab is about 15 minutes.
This happens because the speed of the Singer Quantum sewing machine cannot run fast to form a nice and neat motif.

We hope that the finishing process will be in accordance with our targets and plans, namely on Monday, we will be able to complete all the hijab orders from customers.
