Hoy les voy a compartir el paso a paso del cuadro que realicé de mi perrita llamada Perla, es una caniche blanca ya de casi 15 años y escogí una foto de ella cuando era muy joven para inmortalizarla en un cuadro hecho con pintura acrílica sobre lienzo.
Happy day everyone! 😉 I hope you are doing well. Today I am going to share with you the step by step of the painting I made of my dog named Perla, she is a white poodle who is almost 15 years old and I chose a photo of her when she was very young to immortalize her in a painting made with acrylic paint on canvas.

➡️ Con lápiz realicé el boceto de Perla. Nunca me complico con los dibujos base porque nunca terminan pareciéndose al resultado final. Todo es una guía para mi. Y aunque estudié artes como carrera universitaria, dibujar no me apasionó, pero pintar sí.
➡️ With pencil I made the sketch of Perla. I never get complicated with base drawings because they never end up looking like the final result. Everything is a guide for me. And although I studied arts as a university degree, I was not passionate about drawing, but painting was.
➡️ Comencé a pintar el fondo con un verde base. Sobre la base coloqué puntos literalmente con la punta del pincel, no con la brocha) de distintos tonos de verde, agregando un poco de blanco y de amarillo. Para el suelo donde Perla está de pie, agregué tonos que nacen de la mezcla de los colores blanco, negro, amarillo y verde. Todo con distintas proporciones para alcanzar los colores deseados.
➡️ I started painting the background with a base green. On the base I placed dots literally with the tip of the brush, not with the brush) of different shades of green, adding a little white and yellow. For the floor where Perla is standing, I added tones that come from the mixture of white, black, yellow and green. All with different proportions to achieve the desired colors.
➡️ Para pintar a Perla, empecé a usar distintos tonos de blanco. Estos los logré mezclando distintas cantidades de blanco con un poco de negro, de verdad muy poco para crear cada tono. El blanco puro sólo lo usé para crear detalles al final. Y delineé sus rasgos con tonos de negro (que fui logrando al mezclar con pocas cantidades de blanco sin llegar a los grises tan marcados).
➡️ To paint Perla, I started using different shades of white. I achieved these by mixing different amounts of white with a little black, really very little to create each tone. I only used the pure white to create details at the end. And I outlined his features with shades of black (which I achieved by mixing with small amounts of white without reaching such marked grays).
➡️ Y así fui agregando detalles con todos esos tonos creados para darle forma y dinamismo a cada parte de su cuerpo. Pinceladas redondeadas en el pecho, otras más sueltas en la cabeza. La lengua la pinté con tonos de color rosa. Y luego con verde puro y otros tonos pinté las ramas de las flores.
➡️ And so I added details with all those tones created to give shape and dynamism to each part of her body. Rounded brushstrokes on the chest, others looser on the head. I painted the tongue with shades of pink. And then with pure green and other tones I painted the flower branches.
Y así fue como pasé de un boceto a lápiz a tener el cuadro realizado con pintura acrílica 😄 En el proceso surgen muchos cambios y adaptaciones, y aunque a veces se sufre hasta que el cuadro esté terminado, quedo contento del resultado final jajaja ¡Espero les haya gustado! And that's how I went from a pencil sketch to having the painting made with acrylic paint 😄 Many changes and adaptations arise in the process, and although sometimes you suffer until the painting is finished, I am happy with the final result hahaha I hope you liked it! Have a nice day everyone.
