Ya que en esto de la costura no soy experta, pero hago una que otra costura sencilla. Y de verdad no encontraba que hacer por lo que me decidí por un agarra ollas, viendo que ya había que cambiar uno que tenía mucho uso y estaba un poco dañado.

Since I am not an expert in this sewing, but I do some simple sewing. And I really couldn't find what to do so I decided on a pot holder, seeing that I already had to change one that had a lot of use and was a bit damaged.

Les cuento que había visto unos tutoriales por la web y todos me parecieron hermosos. Está técnica del Patchwork es maravilloso, ya que podemos crear tantas cosas, así como reparar alguna prenda manchada o rota. En algunos tutoriales que ví en la web se veía tan fácil ( claro me imagino que para los costureros con experiencia) porque cuando trate de hacer lo que había visto( incluso marque con medida y todo) iba como perdiendo la forma...así que me relaje, puse mi música y me deje llevar por esa costurera que vivía muy dentro de mi y la dejé fluir e ir creando ese colorido agarra ollas usando varios retazos de telas.

I tell you that I had seen some tutorials on the web and they all seemed beautiful to me. This Patchwork technique is wonderful, since we can create so many things, as well as repair a stained or torn garment. In some tutorials that I saw on the web it looked so easy (of course I imagine that for experienced seamstresses) because when I tried to do what I had seen (even mark with measurement and everything) it was like losing the shape... so I relaxed, put on my music and let myself be carried away by that seamstress who lived deep inside me and I let her flow and create that colorful pot holder using various scraps of fabric.

Y una de las cosas que me preocupaba era coser el borde ( el cual no me quedo como debería, pero me inventé una para tratar de tapar las imperfecciones y se viera bonito) y como les dije este es el primero que hice, pero de seguro no será el último. Ya que me propongo mejorar y de seguro el próximo lo compartiré con ustedes ☺️.

And one of the things that worried me was sewing the edge (which didn't turn out as it should, but I did one to try to cover the imperfections and make it look good) and as I told you, this is the first one I did, and I'm sure it won't be the latest. Since I intend to improve and I'm sure I'll share the next one ☺️.

Una de las partes que me gustó fue cuando incorpore la tela guata con las demás y comencé a coser, no sabría cómo explicarles, pero me gustó la sensación cuando pasaba la aguja entre las telas.

One of the parts that I liked was when I incorporated the wadding fabric with the others and started sewing, I don't know how to explain it to you, but I liked the feeling when I passed the needle between the fabrics.

De los recortes de tela que tenía seleccione los que podría necesitar:

From the fabric scraps you had, select the ones you might need:

Comencé con dos cuadrados que tenían 12 por 10 centímetros, junte los dos pedazos de distintas telas y recorte. Junte las partes por el lado derecho, quedando el revés a la vista y empecé a coser por todo el borde de las telas.

I started with two squares that were 12 by 10 centimeters, put the two pieces of different fabric together and cut out. Join the parts on the right side, leaving the wrong side visible and I began to sew along the entire edge of the fabrics.

Luego marque en la parte azul una x y con la tijera corte comenzando por el centro hasta cada una de las puntas. Quedando unos triángulos azules.

Then mark an x on the blue part and with the scissors cut starting from the center to each of the ends. There are some blue triangles left.

Después marque el cuadrado que me salió en un pedazo de tela de paño y en otro de tela de guata.
Junte los pedazos quedando la tela de guata en medio y comencé a coser. Dejando dos triángulos azules de cada lado.

Then mark the square that came out on a piece of cloth fabric and another of wadding fabric.
I put the pieces together leaving the wadding fabric in the middle and I started to sew. Leaving two blue triangles on each side.

Cosi por todo el borde, así como los por los borde de los triángulos.

Sew along the entire edge, as well as along the edges of the triangles.

Recorte varios corazones y los cosi en el centro del agarra ollas, se me ocurrió porque ví como que le faltaba algo... aunque a veces se pasa la mano en querer ponerle cosas de más.

I cut out several hearts and sewed them in the center of the pot holder, it occurred to me because I saw that something was missing... although sometimes it goes overboard in wanting to put extra things on it.

Por último corte unas tiras rojas y azules para hacer el sesgo con el cual taparía las costuras y le daría una linda vista a la costura.... pero como en dos de las puntas no me quedaron muy bien, conseguí unas florecitas y las cosi en ambos lados, en dos de las esquinas.

Finally, I cut some red and blue strips to make the bias with which I would cover the seams and give a nice view to the seam... but since two of the ends did not fit me very well, I put some flowers and sewed them. on both sides, on two of the corners.

Y así termine mi proyecto de costura para participar en el concurso, espero haya Sido del agrado de ustedes ☺️ aunque a mí me gustó mucho.... Nos vemos pronto mis queridos amigos.!!
