Hoy les presentamos con orgullo **"MI LIBRO DE MONAGAS"** esta Hermosa creación que mi hijo de cuarto grado y yo hemos realizado para una presentación Escolar.
Today we proudly present **"MY MONAGAS BOOK ”** this beautiful creation that my fourth grade son and I have made for a school presentation.
Me anime a crear junto a mi hijo este libro manualmente para presentar el cierre del segundo momento escolar (o cierre de proyecto escolar) nunca habia hecho uno pero tenía interés de mostrar a mi hijo que si podíamos hacerlo nosotros mismo, aunque tenemos familiares y amigos experto en estos casos. Lo Intentamos.
I was encouraged to create with my son this book manually to present the closing of the second school moment (or closing of the school project) I had never done one before but I was interested in showing my son that we could do it ourselves, although we have family and friends who are experts in these cases. En esta oportunidad la actividad consistió en que cada niño debía elaborar un libro del estado Monagas y de los 13 municipios que la conforman se distribuyeron un municipio a cada niño pero por suerte a mi hijo le toco realizar el del estado completo, nos preocupamos un poco pero la maestra nos miro y nos dijo: "yo se que el puede" asi que tuvimos que aceptar y les dije a mi niño: "No te preocupes, vamos hacerlo".
This time the activity consisted of each child having to make a book of the state of Monagas and of the 13 municipalities that make up the state, one municipality was distributed to each child but luckily my son had to make the book of the entire state, we were a little worried but the teacher looked at us and said: “I know he can do it” so we had to accept and I told my son: “Don't worry, let's do it”.
Aunque soy nueva en las manualidades mi motivación es que mi hijo presente un buen trabajo, que se sienta orgulloso y que pueda contar con esta herramienta para destacar en su exposición asi como conocer las cultura y los aspectos más importante del lugar donde habita, asi que por el me atrevo a inventar y crear y lograr buenos resultados.
Although I am new to handicrafts, my motivation is that my son presents a good job, that he feels proud and that he can count on this tool to stand out in his exhibition as well as to know the culture and the most important aspects of the place where he lives, so for him I dare to invent and create and achieve good results.
Inicialmente, realizamos una busqueda en la internet, donde encontramos material interesante que resume información general del Estado Monagas.
Initially, we conducted a search on the Internet, where we found interesting material that summarizes general information about the State of Monagas.
Sin embargo queremos enriquecer nuestro libro con detalles sobre la cultura y tradiciones locales que en ocasiones no se encuentra facilmente en linea, decidimos visitar la Biblioteca de nuestro pueblo en punta de mata para consular información valiosa para complementar el libro,por suerte y por conocidos que tenemos en este lugar nos permitieron llevarnos los libros a casa.
However, we wanted to enrich our book with details about the local culture and traditions that sometimes are not easily found online, so we decided to visit the library of our town in Punta de Mata to gather valuable information to complement the book, luckily and because of acquaintances we have in this place, they allowed us to take the books home.

Luego de revisar, leer y anotar las informaciones que queremos incluir en el libro nos concentramos en los materiales y herramientas a utilizar. Y como bien saben los que tienen hijos en la escuela siempre se guardan materiales "por si acaso". Efectivamente de las actividades escolares anteriores teníamos cartulina de diversos colores,revistas periódicos, trozos de foami y otros elementos sobrantes, los cuales seleccionamos los que posiblemnete se utilizarían para el libro.
After reviewing, reading and writing down the information we want to include in the book, we concentrate on the materials and tools to be used. And as those who have children in school always keep materials “just in case”. Indeed, from previous school activities we had cardboard of different colors, magazines, newspapers, pieces of foami and other leftover elements, which we selected those that could be used for the book.

Lo siguiente que hicimos fue asegurarnos de contar con las herramientas necesarias para que al comenzar el trabajo no estemos haciendo pausas buscando cosas y perdamos tiempo ya que en estos días mi hijo debia de ir a clases normales y yo tenia que asistir al trabajo mas las ocupaciones diarias del hogar asi que nuestro tiempo estaba limitado. contamos con marcaoores, colores, silicon liquido y en barra con la pistolita, tijera, lapiceros, regla, borrador entre otros.
The next thing we did was to make sure we had the necessary tools so that when we started the work we would not be pausing to look for things and waste time, since these days my son had to go to regular classes and I had to attend work plus the daily occupations of the home so our time was limited. We had markers, colors, liquid and stick silicone with the pistol, scissors, pens, ruler, eraser and others.

Hasta este punto, no teníamos claro como estructurar y darle forma al libro, recurrimos nuevamente al internet en busca de tutoriales y guías paso a paso para encontrar alguna forma, intentamos utilizar una caja de cereales reciclado para crear las portadas y contraportada aprovechando la rigidez del cartón. Sin embargo idea no resulto como esparabamos asi que decidimos descartarla.
Up to this point, we were not sure how to structure and shape the book, we turned again to the internet looking for tutorials and step by step guides to find a way, we tried to use a recycled cereal box to create the front and back covers taking advantage of the rigidity of the cardboard. However the idea didn't work out as we expected so we decided to discard it.
Con la fecha de entrega cada vez más cerca y después de varios días de lectura e investigación comenzamos a crear las s, dejando la elaboración de las cubiertas para el final, vizualizamos una forma con mucho color, imágenes y elememtos tipo lapbook para lograr algo llamativo para adultos y divertido y comprensible para niños.
With the delivery date getting closer and closer, and after several days of reading and research, we started to create the covers, leaving the elaboration of the covers for the end, we visualized a form with a lot of color, images and lapbook-like elements to achieve something eye-catching for adults and fun and understandable for children.
Entre recortes, tijera, pega e imágenes de revistas y periódicos cada página fue tomando forma, incorporamos la figura de un niño que acompañaba cada página como si fuera contando la historia del estado, las imágenes que no conseguimos para ilustar la información las dibujabamos nosotros mismos, bueno en este caso era mi hijo el dibujante.
Between clippings, scissors, glue and images from magazines and newspapers each page was taking shape, we incorporated the figure of a child who accompanied each page as if he were telling the history of the state, the images that we did not get to illustrate the information we drew them ourselves, well in this case was my son the drawer./div>

Dedicamos seis díaS a este proyecto escolar, logrando que el libro reflejara información sobre los origenes, fundación, ubicación,símbolos,geografía,infraestructura,literatura, economía,cultura,gastronomía,deportes,turismo,personajes históricos y anexos del Estado Monagas de Venezuela.
We dedicated six days to this school project, achieving that the book reflects information about the origins, foundation, location, symbols, geography, infrastructure, literature, economy, culture, gastronomy, sports, tourism, historical characters and annexes of the State of Monagas in Venezuela.
Finalmente, ordenamos, ensamblamos y pegamos cada página, para la portada y contraportada usamos la cartulina de colores para mantener la misma secuencia del interior del libro.luego moldeamos las letras para el titulo que mi hijo decidio llamar "MI LIBRO DE MONAGAS".
Finally, we ordered, assembled and glued each page, for the front and back cover we used the colored cardboard to keep the same sequence of the inside of the book. then we molded the letters for the title that my son decided to call “MY MONAGAS BOOK”.

- Dejemos que los niños participen: En algunas ocasiones los padres terminamos asuminedo gran parte de la elaboración de los trabajos escolares, en este proyecto mi hijo participo desde el principio hasta el final.Sus ideas,colaboración, pegando y recortando y sus dibujos fueron fundamentales ver su alegría y motivación en presentar su trabajo en la escuela fue mi mejor recompensa, los niños son increíbles llenos de ideas que te sorprenderan. y si duda de lo que les digo vean esta carita de felicidad.
- Let the children participate: Sometimes parents end up assuming a great part of the elaboration of school work, in this project my son participated from the beginning to the end, his ideas, collaboration, gluing and cutting and his drawings were fundamental to see his joy and motivation in presenting his work at school was my best reward, children are amazing full of ideas that will surprise you. and if you doubt what I say look at this happy face.
- Déjense llevar, relájense y disfruten: A medida que creen las buenas ideas y las formas irán surgiendo en su mente. Esta experiencia desarrollara su capacidad para resolver y dar forma a sus proyectos, brindando resultado positivos tanto en lo que crean como en su crecimiento personal al igual que sembrara esa misma capacidad en su hijo quien tendra la seguridad y confianza en si mismo de que no se limite y pueda lograr lo que se proponga en el futuro.
- Let go, relax and enjoy: As you create good ideas and shapes will emerge in your mind. This experience will develop your ability to solve and shape your projects, providing positive results both in what you create and in your personal growth as well as sowing that same ability in your child who will have the security and confidence in himself that he will not limit himself and can achieve whatever he sets his mind to in the future.
