Saludos queridos amigos de #hivediy, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes otra de mis manualidades. En esta oportunidad, les presento un estuche para fosforera que elaboré con el fin de reemplazar el que tengo en casa, el cual ya tiene un año. En mi gusto particular, me encantan los cambios y considero que era hora de hacerlo. Siempre utilizo temáticas de flores en mi cocina porque adoro las flores y trato de que mi decoración siempre esté rodeada de ellas.
Ahora les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y el proceso paso a paso de cómo lo hice.
Materiales:
- Caja de gelatina
- Tela de mezclilla
- Foami de colores
- Tijeras
- Pistola de silicona
- Regla
- Lápiz
- Hilo de yute
Greetings dear friends of #hivediy, today I want to share with you another of my crafts. This time, I present you a matchbox case that I made in order to replace the one I have at home, which is already a year old. In my particular taste, I love changes and I think it was time to do it. I always use flower themes in my kitchen because I love flowers and I try to make sure that my decoration is always surrounded by them.
Now I will show you the materials I used and the step by step process of how I did it.
Materials:
- Jello box
- Denim fabric
- Colored Foami
- Scissors
- Silicone gun
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Jute yarn
Lo primero que hice fue reducir la caja de gelatina a la medida que me acomodara para la fosforera. Desarmé la caja y, con ayuda de la regla y el lápiz, tracé unas líneas para reducir el ancho de la caja a 30 cm.
The first thing I did was to reduce the gelatin box to the size that would suit me for the matchbox. I took the box apart and, using a ruler and pencil, drew some lines to reduce the width of the box to 30 cm.
Así ha quedado la caja de gelatina ya modificada a la medida deseada.
This is how the box of gelatin has been modified to the desired size.
Después, procedí a transferir la medida de la caja a la tela de mezclilla, que sería utilizada para forrar la caja. La recorté con ayuda de las tijeras.
Next, I proceeded to transfer the measurement of the box to the denim fabric, which would be used to line the box. I cut it out with scissors.
Teniendo listo el forro para la caja paso a elaborar las flores, para ello, marqué con un lápiz en los foamis de colores las bandas con formas de pétalos.
Having ready the lining for the box, I started to make the flowers. To do this, I marked with a pencil on the colored foamis the bands with petal shapes.
A continuación, recortó todas las bandas y con el foami verde corté unos triángulos pequeños que serán los que formarán los pétalos de las flores.
Next, I cut out all the strips and with the green foami I cut small triangles that will form the petals of the flowers.
Teniendo todo listo, comencé a armar las flores enrollando las bandas de pétalos. Luego, les apliqué una pequeña porción de silicona en la parte posterior del rollo y así obtuve la flor. Repetí esta operación hasta tener todas las flores elaboradas.
Having everything ready, I began to assemble the flowers by rolling the petal bands. Then, I applied a small portion of silicone on the back of the roll and thus I obtained the flower. I repeated this operation until I had all the flowers made.
Después, pegué los pétalos a cada una de las flores en la parte posterior, dejándolas terminadas.
Then, I glued the petals to each of the flowers on the back, leaving them finished.
Una vez que las flores estuvieron listas, procedí a forrar la caja con la tela de mezclilla utilizando la pistola de silicona.
Once the flowers were ready, I proceeded to line the box with the denim fabric using the silicone gun.
Fui armando poco a poco la caja y pegué en su interior la otra pieza de mezclilla, fortaleciendo así la zona de arriba de la caja, que será por donde colgare el porta fosforera.
I gradually assembled the box and glued the other piece of denim inside, thus strengthening the top area of the box, which will be where I will hang the matchbox holder.
Con la cajita lista, pasé a decorarla colocándole unas banditas de foami amarillo que contrastan muy bien con la tela de mezclilla.
With the box ready, I decorated it with some yellow foami strips that contrasted nicely with the denim fabric.
Luego, coloqué las flores, aplicando una porción de silicona en la parte posterior y pegándolas en la tela, una por una.
Then, I placed the flowers, applying a portion of silicone on the back and gluing them to the fabric, one by one.

Aquí pueden ver cómo quedó el porta fosforera. Habia pensado ponerle unos lazos de hilo de yute pero al ver como quedí, no lo ví necesario.
Here you can see how the match holder turned out. I had thought about putting some jute thread bows on it but when I saw how it turned out, I didn't think it was necessary.
Para concluir le colocaré una tachuela verde para poderlo fijar al borde de la campana de mi cocina, también pueden colocar una cinta doble faz pero como yo no tenía en estos momentos lo fijé con una tachuela.
To conclude I will place a green tack to fix it to the edge of the hood of my kitchen, you can also place a double-sided tape but as I did not have at the moment I fixed it with a tack.
