On this wonderful day, I want to show you how I made a love gnome, which will be part of a present for a special person. What makes it more special is that it was made with my own hands and this gives it much more sentimental value, because when we make and give something unique with our own efforts, that person appreciates it more, it is not compared to buying any souvenir at the corner store.
This loving gnome was made with foami of the most representative colors of love, red and pink, but using a recycled light bulb as a base. You can see that with any material or object we can create art. I hope you like it. Below, I show you the materials I used and the step by step of the creative process.
Hola, queridos amigos amantes del arte y las manualidades, primero que todo, muchas felicidades por el Día de San Valentín, Día del amor y la amistad. Espero que estén pasando un día muy feliz acompañado de la familia y amigos. En este día tan maravilloso, quiero mostrarte cómo elaboré un gnomo amoroso, el cual formará parte de un presente para una persona especial. Lo que lo hace más especial es que fue elaborado con mis propias manos y esto le aporta mucho más valor sentimental, pues cuando hacemos y regalamos algo único con nuestros propios esfuerzos, esa persona le toma mayor aprecio, no se compara con comprar cualquier souvenir en la tienda de la esquina.
Dicho gnomo amoroso fue elaborado con foami de los colores más representativos del amor, el rojo y el rosa, pero utilizando como base un bombillo reciclado. Ya ves que con cualquier material u objeto podemos crear arte. Espero que les guste. A continuación, te muestro los materiales que utilicé y el paso a paso del proceso creativo.

For the base of the gnome I used a light bulb that I had already discarded, as it seemed ideal for it, because its shape is very similar to a body with a robe on. I lined it completely with pink foami, first I glued it on all sides and then I cut off all the excess.
Para la base del gnomo utilicé un bombillo que ya había desechado, pues me pareció ideal para ello, pues su forma se asemeja mucho al de un cuerpo como con una bata puesta. Lo forré totalmente con foami de color rosa, primeramente lo pegué por todos lados y luego recorté todo el sobrante.

With a shaggy wool fabric I made the beard long and bushy, cutting it in the shape of an inverted triangle, then trimmed the excess hairs to make it look neater.
Con una tela de lana peluda hice la barba larga y tupida, cortándola en forma de triángulo invertido, luego recorté los sobrantes de los pelos para que quedara más pulcro.

With red foami I made a cone that would be the hat. After gluing it, I gave it heat on both sides to make the folds and wrinkles; this gives it a more realistic effect. Then I placed it on top, above the beard.
Con foami de color rojo hice un cono que sería el sombrero. Luego de pegarlo, le di calor por ambas caras para poder hacerle los dobleces y las arrugas; esto le da un efecto más realista. Luego lo coloqué en la parte superior, encima de la barba.

With white foami and two wires I made the arms. I used white foami because I don't have skin color, but if you have it would be ideal, then I have to paint it. I wrapped the wire in white foami and then, approximately in the middle, cover it with pink foami to be the sleeves of the clothes. The wire allows me to bend the arms so that they stay just the way I put them. I made a diagonal cut in the pink part of the two arms to be able to glue them to the body.
Con foami blanco y dos alambres hice los brazos. Utilicé foami blanco porque no tengo color piel, pero si tú tienes sería lo ideal, luego yo tengo que pintarlo. Envolví el alambre en foami blanco y luego, aproximadamente, por la mitad, cubrirlo con foami rosado para que sean las mangas de la ropa. El alambre lo que permite es poder doblar los brazos y que se queden justo como los ponga. A los dos brazos le hice un corte diagonal en la parte rosa para poder pegarlos al cuerpo.

To decorate it, I made two hearts out of frosted foami, which I thermoformed to give it height, glued them together and the result was a 3D style heart. I cut out the nose and the shoes and glued them in their corresponding places and decorated the hat with small hearts made with the punching machine.
Para adornarlo hice dos corazones de foami escarchado, el cual termoformé para darle altura, los pegué y quedó un corazón estilo 3D. Recorté la nariz y los zapatos y los pegué en su lugar correspondiente y decoré el sombrero con pequeños corazones hechos con la ponchadora.

All that's left to do are the finishing touches. With a white marker, I painted dots all over the hat to make it look more colorful and, with fur-colored paint, I painted the nose and arms.
Solo queda darle los últimos detalles. Con un marcador blanco, pinté puntos por todo el sombrero para que se viera más pintoresco y, con pintura color piel, pinté la nariz y los brazos.
