Tengo varias plantas dentro de mi casa, siento que le dan mucha vida y alegría, pues ciertamente ellas son vida y tienen muchos beneficios no solo como decoración, también purifican el aire, reducen el estrés al permitirnos conectar con la naturaleza, humedecen el ambiente y mejoran nuestro humor por lo colores y formas.
Siempre les reviso las hojas que se ponen feas y las corto, porque al hacerlo ellas dejan de tratar de mandar su energía al tratar de repararlas e inmediatamente se ponen lindas.

Otra cosa que siempre estoy pendiente de hacer es retirarle los hijitos o brotes nuevos y los llevo a un vasito de vidrio con agua, para revisar todos los días cuando le broten raíces suficientes para ser trasplantadas a una maceta.
También hay ciertas plantas que son tan generosas que al retirar las hojas feas, y llevarlas al vasito con agua también logran echar raíces para dar vida a otra planta.
Hoy quiero decorar este vasito de agua, que siempre tengo en mi cocina, lo voy a cambiar por uno un poco más grande y lo voy a decorar con cordón de yute, ya que necesito que me permita ver cómo va el crecimiento de raíces nuevas.
Another thing I'm always careful to do is remove the new shoots and put them in a glass with water, to check every day when enough roots are sprouting to be transplanted into a pot.

Today I want to decorate this glass of water, which I always have in my kitchen. I'm going to change it for a slightly larger one and I'm going to decorate it with jute cord, since I need it to allow me to see how the new roots are growing.
- Vaso de vidrio transparente, utilicé uno reciclado que era de mayonesa.
- Cordón de yute.
- Marcador.
- Tijera.
- Pistola de silicón caliente.
- Clear glass cup, I used a recycled one that was from mayonnaise.
- Jute cord.
- Marker.
- Scissors.
- Hot glue gun.
Como les mencioné anteriormente, es importan que el vaso sea transparente para poder ver siempre el crecimiento o brote de las nuevas raíces.
En el frasco o envase de vidrio que estoy utilizando, realizo arriba en cuatro puntos con el marcador, que sean equidistantes, es decir que formen una cruz.
As I mentioned before, it is important that the glass is transparent so that you can always see the growth or sprouting of the new roots.
On the glass jar or container that I am using, I make four equidistant points with the marker, that is, they form a cross.
Ahora, considerando estas marcas coloco la punta del cordón de yute en una de las marcas, pero en el cuerpo del frasco de vidrio, no exactamente en la marca, esta es solo de referencia. Pego con un punto de silicón caliente.
Luego, bajo y en el siguiente punto de referencia, pego el cordón de yute con silicón caliente. Así realizo en los cuatro puntos referenciales, subiendo y bajando con el cordón de yute, y corto el mismo al terminar.
Now, considering these marks, I place the tip of the jute cord on one of the marks, but on the body of the glass jar, not exactly on the mark, this is just for reference. I glue it with a point of hot silicone.
Then, I go down and at the next reference point, I glue the jute cord with hot silicone. I do this at the four reference points, going up and down with the jute cord, and I cut it when I'm done.
Ahora, comienzo de nuevo a subir y bajar el cordón de yute, pero comienzo arriba en el punto de referencia donde había bajado anteriormente, de manera que queda como intercalado el tejido.
Voy subiendo y bajando, pegando con el silicón caliente y al terminar con los cuatro puntos de referencia, corto el cordón de yute, quedando el siguiente patrón o diseño, que me gustó mucho.
Now, I start to raise and lower the jute cord again, but I start at the reference point where I had previously lowered it, so that the fabric is interspersed.
I go up and down, gluing with hot silicone and when I finish with the four reference points, I cut the jute cord, leaving the following pattern or design, which I really liked.
Ahora, voy a dar vueltas en la base del vaso, pegando con el silicón caliente, hasta tener la envoltura de 1 cm de grueso.
En la parte superior, donde está la rosca del vaso, realizo también las vueltas hasta prácticamente cubrir la rosca, solo dejo un pequeño borde libre.
Now, I'm going to wrap it around the base of the glass, gluing it with hot silicone, until I have a 1 cm thick wrap.
On the top, where the glass thread is, I also wrap it around until I practically cover the thread, leaving only a small free edge.
Con este sencillo proceso logro tener ahora un vaso para los nuevos brotes de raíces en mi cocina, con estilo y personalidad. Me gusta mucho el cordón de yute porque le aporta naturalidad, no se ve artificial.
El diseño que realicé, es para que se vea bello, pero es muy abierto y sencillo, para que me permita siempre poder chequear no solo el desarrollo de las raíces, sino también si el agua está limpia, para cambiar.
With this simple process I now have a glass for the new root sprouts in my kitchen, with style and personality. I really like the jute cord because it gives it a natural look, it doesn't look artificial.
The design I made is to make it look pretty, but it is very open and simple, so that I can always check not only the development of the roots, but also if the water is clean, so I can change it.
