With this Accessory we can use the Headphones comfortably, since it allows them to be held around the neck, with which we can remove them from the ear whenever we want, and they will no longer fall out. This product exists commercially, but today I decided to make it myself, with few materials and using my homemade sewing machine.
Con este Accesorio podemos usar los Audífonos cómodamente, ya que permite tenerlos sujetos alrededor del cuello, con lo cual podemos retirarlos del oído cuando deseemos, y estos ya no se caerán. Este producto existe comercialmente, pero hoy me decidí a confeccionarlo yo misma, con pocos materiales y utilizando mi máquina de coser casera.
This was the Inspiration for my Project
The inspiration for this project was this hearing aid of my son, he likes this model that are wireless with Bluetooth, but they are not for the small ones, since he likes to eventually take it off and that they are still attached and he does not run the risk that they drop or even get lost.
For my project today I thought of recreating this model or rather this property of leaving the hearing aids attached around the neck, to remove from the ear when desired and thus keep them comfortable and accessible. So, below I extend them the manufacturing process:
La inspiración para este proyecto fue este audífono de mi hijo, a él le gusta este modelo que son inalámbricos con Bluetooth, pero no son de los pequeños, ya que le gusta eventualmente quitárselo y que le queden aún sujetos y no corra el riesgo de que se le caigan o incluso que se le pierdan.
Para mi proyecto de hoy pensé en recrear este modelo o mejor dicho esta propiedad de dejar los audífonos sujetos alrededor del cuello, para retirar del oído cuando se desee y así mantenerlos cómodos y accesibles. De manera que, a continuación les extiendo el proceso de confección:
- Sewing machine, thread and scissors
- Semi-leather
- metal headband
- Ruler, tape measure and pen
- snap clips
- Plastic clips, punch and pliers
- Máquina de coser, hilo y tijera
- Semicuero
- Diadema de metal
- Regla, cinta métrica y bolígrafo
- Clips de presión
- Broches plásticos, punzón y alicate
The first thing I will do is take the measurements to make my accessory, since I determined that the headband would be the perfect element to make its structure, I take the measurements as follows:
The semi-leather is going to cover or wrap the headband, so as width it should measure 4 cm, and for the length I measure the headband which is 37.50 cm.
Lo primero que haré será tomar las medidas para hacer mi accesorio, ya que determiné que la diadema sería el elemento perfecto para hacer la estructura de él, tomo las medidas de la siguiente forma:
El semicuero va a forrar o envolver la diadema, entonces como ancho debe medir 4cms, y para el largo mido la diadema que es de 37,50 cms.
In the material that I am going to use, the semi-leather marks the pattern according to the previous measurements, that is, 4 cm wide and for the length 37.50 cm plus 6 cm to consider the space for the brooches, but I rounded this measurement to 43 cm. .
With the square or ruler I make sure that the 4cm by 43cm rectangle is well drawn and I cut it.
En el material que voy a utilizar, el semicuero marco el patrón de acuerdo a las medidas anteriores, es decir 4cms de ancho y para el largo los 37,50cms más 6cms para considerar el espacio de los broches, pero esta medida la redondeé a 43cms.
Con la escuadra o regla me aseguro que quede bien trazado el rectángulo de 4cms por 43cms y recorto.
I fold my cutout piece in half lengthwise and secure it with the pressure clips, I don't use pins because it can damage the material.
Mi pieza recortada la doblo por la mitad a lo largo y la aseguro con los clips de presión, no utilizo alfileres porque puede dañar el material.
I sew with a straight seam on the sewing machine, at the foot of the machine, I remove the pressure clips as I advance in the seam.
Coso con costura recta en la máquina de coser, a pie de máquina, voy retirando los clips de presión conforme voy avanzando en la costura.
With the scissors I cut and remove all the excess as close to the seam as possible.
Con la tijera recorto y retiro todo el excedente lo más cerca de la costura que se pueda.
At one of the ends I pass a straight seam and close in this way.
En uno de lo extremos paso costura recta y cierro de esta forma.
Now I am going to place the snap fasteners, right on the frame edge and pierce once with the punch, I place the snap that has the tip, I make sure that it comes out well at the other end where I place the other piece that is the female and press with the pliers.
Ahora voy a colocar los broches de presión, justo en el borde marco y perforo de una vez con el punzón, coloco el broche que tiene la punta, me aseguro que salga bien por el otro extremo donde coloco la otra pieza que viene siendo la hembra, y presiono con el alicate.
I fold right next to the clasp to mark where I am going to place the other clasp with which you will be able to close this side. I do the same procedure to place the brooch with the tip piece and the other piece that is the male.
Doblo justo al lado del broche para marcar donde voy a ubicar el otro broche con el cual podrá cerrar este lado. Hago el mismo procedimiento para colocar el broche con la pieza de punta y la otra pieza que es el macho.
By closing the two clips, it will look like this and there will be enough space for the headphone cable to pass without problem.
Al cerrar los dos broches, se verá de esta forma y quedará el espacio necesario para que pase el cable del audífono sin problema.
I insert the metal headband through the other end of the piece and now I'm going to prepare this end.
Introduzco la diadema de metal por el otro extremo de la pieza y ahora voy a preparar este extremo.
I repeat the entire process that I did on the other end exactly the same, all the same until I have it closed and with the two plastic snaps in place.

And as always the owner of my projects, my daughter Viviana, is happy with them. They are really comfortable, they do not give heat to the neck, she can remove the hearing aid at any time and they will remain attached, she will no longer fall off.
