Merops orientalis is a rather unknown bird. This bird is seen in very few numbers. As far as I know, these birds stay far away from humans. These birds do not come to live in human society, that is, in the trees where humans live. Most of the time, they move around in places like forests, rivers, canals, and beels. I have noticed in my rural life that they never come near humans. They move around far and wide all day long. Their main food is collecting insects. When I went out to take photographs, I came across this bird among other birds. I noticed that these birds are busy collecting insects or sitting on electric wires. But they do not want to come in front of people at all.
