Today I was again hunting for interesting objects in nature, and luck brought me to a group of beautiful looking little mushrooms growing on rotting palm trunks. After I looked closely, it turned out that this was the (Dacrymyces spathularia) fungus, which has a unique shape resembling a small spatula with a striking yellow color.

I took several pictures while observing the growth and texture of this mushroom. The light color really contrasts with the dark, weathered wood surface. Upon closer inspection, the surface appeared slightly slimy, perhaps due to the moisture of the rotting stem.

This fungus usually grows on dead and rotting wood, helping the decomposition process in nature. It's interesting how these small fungi play such a big role in the ecosystem.

This is one of the natural beauties that is often overlooked—small creatures with unique shapes that continue to carry out their duties without us realizing it. Hopefully these photos can give you a little idea of the beauty of the Dacrymyces spathularia mushroom in its natural habitat.
