Loxodonta africana | 2.12.2021 | Kruger National Park, South Africa |
In Kruger National Park, watering holes are available for game. Here you can see the circular concrete tank from which the water is channelled further into the troughs. However, the adult elephant is so large that it takes water directly from the tank. Often they're lonely, huge bulls, and they're quite grumpy.

Elephants are ferocious animals so many are scary but you can take pictures perfectly, elephants are grumpy hearts there @birdwatcher
Nice shot, man. How close have you ever photographed an elephant? I remember last time @stoodkev drove a tuk tuk past an elephant, it was crazy XD
Great shooting, I was very scared of this one animal, but elephants are one of the most loyal animals that I know, I think you are a brave man who can photograph it very well.
Really, I can't imagine being stabbed by that ivory :)
It´s much more common that these magnificent beasts are killed FOR that ivory and that´s even more sad and tragic in my opinion...
One of my favorite animals at all. Love to see them in documentaries, in nature, in pictures, in books, in cartoons... and even in history books, since my favorite historical character is Hannibal Barca 😁
Greetings from Italy!
