Today I have some very beautiful butterfly photos to show you all, I found these butterflies among the weeds while walking in the forest a few days ago, I found them accidentally because they were in a very low place, so when I set my steps among the weeds very carefully, when I turned my head to the side something striking was seen among the green leaves, I approached slowly so that I would not miss the moment, and luckily I found a very beautiful butterfly.
This beautiful butterfly is known by the scientific name "Mycalesis visala" which is one of the butterfly species that comes from the nymphalidae family and can be found in various habitats in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia, this butterfly has its own charm because of the unique pattern on its wings that resembles an eye, this pattern is not just a decoration but an effective defense strategy to avoid predators, when it feels threatened this butterfly can flap its wings in a certain position to look like a big scary eye.
Physically, Mycalesis visala has a brown base color with smooth gradations, this color provides an advantage in camouflage in forest environments with lots of dry leaves and tree trunks, while the eye-like pattern on its wings provides extra protection for the species and this also becomes a stunning visual effect when viewed up close, this butterfly has a relatively medium body size so that it makes them easy to adapt to various types of vegetation especially in bush areas like where I found them.
