Acraea terpsicore butterfly

in Nature Observer15 hours ago

A beautiful morning accompanied by cool air, the sun was starting to shine gently, I decided to take a short walk in nature by following the path. Many plants have started to turn yellow or dry due to the prolonged dry season. The grass along the path generally no longer has green leaves. But the surrounding atmosphere still looks peaceful, there are still many beautiful insects playing among the grass.

Of the many insects playing there, only the Acraea terpsicore butterfly was willing to be my model. The beautiful butterfly was perched peacefully on one of the grass leaves which were starting to turn yellow. Its slightly opened wings display a beautiful pattern in the form of dark black spots which contrasts with the basic orange color of its wings as the background of the pattern. Meanwhile, the edges of the wings are decorated with an equally beautiful pattern in the form of black lines with white spots that resemble natural lace.

This Acraea terpsicore butterfly behaves very calmly, very different from other butterflies which continue to fly agile and alert when I try to approach it. This butterfly looks very confident, she is trying her best to appear gracefully on the camera screen. Maybe her dream is to become a model. And today his dream has come true.

You are really doing great with capturing this butterfly.
It's always difficult to capture these flying insects.
