Mainland tiger butterfly | Danaus chrysippus

Hello everyone, good afternoon wherever you are, how are you this afternoon? Hope you are fine wherever you are.

I"m back here again and on this occasion I want to show some beautiful shots of the Danaus chrysippus butterfly or better known as the mainland tiger butterfly. This butterfly is one of the most beautiful colored butterflies I have ever encountered.

The color of the upper wings is brown which is decorated with short lines and white spots. Meanwhile, the lower wings are faded brown decorated with black dots. The color is almost similar to the color of dry leaves. I believe the color that resembles dry leaves is camouflage, to protect itself from predators.

Its habitat is the same as other butterflies in general. Butterflies like open places such as parks, meadows, fields and so on. As I found, this beautiful butterfly was in the marigold garden. He was enjoying a drop of honey contained in the flower.

Talking about ecosystems, I think all butterflies play a big role in pollinating flowers. Because they always come to suck the nectar from the flowers. They accidentally transfer pollen from one flower to another. What butterflies do is very useful for the plant. That's all my review about this beautiful butterfly, see you in the next post.
