I've only seen a hidden baby deer once and I had no camera back then to capture the moment. Coyotes are probably their biggest predator at this age.
I remember almost stepping right on them as I made my way through the woods. Once you spot them on the forest floor, there are hard to lose, but their speckled fur does a good job at blending them into the background at a distance.
