Glaciox fan art

Helloooo! How are you guys? I'm writing on my break again because I have such a hard time doing anything else but draw at nights now so I'd just do this at lunch.
I've been trying to build a small ink wash drawing portfolio recently so you guys might see this style from mea lot more in the next few months. I have been doing more of the holozing vreatures I haven't explored yet and recently I've been a little fixated on dragons soooo I might make so many dragon drawing in the next few weeks or so because there are quite a few dragons on the holozing index and I really want to draw them all XD
One dragon at a time though.
I started with glaciox because it's the closest to the Chinese dragon and I thought Chinese dragons were really pretty. Also reminds me of the spirited away dragon I've been meaning to draw but haven't had the time to.

And I do think it looks like a Chinese dragon but apparently this type of dragon is called an amphiptere and are said to bring prosperity and good luck if you see it so hopefully it will bring me that good fortune too in the next few months XD

As for my progression:

My sketch is pretty empty and I honestly do not know how to sketch mountains so I said I would just ink it in. I just needed too know how and where to place glaciox so it has that mysterious guardian dragon vibe I was aiming for.

Then I did end up inking the mountains once my dragon was in place. I also added a very dilute ink sky layer just to give it some fog. I do think I could have added fog somewhere along the way but IDK why it never occurred to me.

Then I worked on my dragon again. Mostly with building up my shapes and details by going darker and darker down the grayscale.

And I really like how I'm so adept with the ink brushes now. Though I have a few more ink brushes I have yet to explore, I think I can make do with the usual ones I use plus a bit of explorations on the new ones I see here and there. Either way, I really should try exploring most of the brushes left if I plan to focus on this style for a while XD
well, for holozing art that is XD plus I do need a signature style now and my style is just all over the place. But I am happy with how I did this one at least UwU and I'm happy with the outcome even if I can't see the scales that much here.

This is all from me for today ^^ I really hope I can stick by this new schedule I made myself since it's mining season and apparently drawing daily is gonna make mestress, sick and burned out again. I'll save the burn out for MerMay, Sketchtember and Inktober and I really hope I can make this year a really productive one. Well, I will see you all another day!
