Hello hello and I am back~~ 2nd day of Zingtober and today's prompt is discover. I actually had to think about this a bit because there are a lot of ways you can discover things. Through experience or through getting lost or just stumbling across something that was there the whole time. Well, for this prompt, I got a little playful with the healers.
materials: Blue pens, blue marker, white ink, chalk
Duration: 3 hours
The Ocean healer discovered something interesting and will we ever find out what it is? Probably not. But I did want to emphasize the hand lense since a lot of expeditions and discoveries were made possible by a magnifying lens and even now, it's a very useful tool in research.
So I kind of wanted to capture that playful spirit of discovery, and of course try to incorporate a curious expression on our little healer.
As for my drawing progression:
I started my page off with a very blue page and although the marker said it was pastel blue, it definitely did not come out s pastel XD
Then I worked the first layer with the lightest pen color I have since I initially did plan to stick with just this color. Unfortunately, my blind self couldn't work in depth so I used a darker blue.
Then slowly, the whole theme of the page suddenly turned dark blue and I got a lot more motivated to draw since I could see depth XD and I like seeing depth in shading.
But yeah, I definitely still don't like drawing with blue enough because it makes me way too sleepy. But I guess that's color psychology for you XD I am happy with where this one went though because when I added the chalk layer, it smoothen Ed out all the hatching lines. And I also tried to smoothen the lines out with smudging it. I have a blending stump I only use for pens XD

Currently writing this on my lunch break and my lab elders are scolding me for being disrespectful to my food because I'm typing while eating XD I call it multi-tasking because I definitely want to take a nap after this.
But that is day 2! I am still very hopeful for the next few days because I made sure to clear out my schedule and not go on any trips just for the sake of finishing that 31 days XD but till, pray for my soul and motivation, guys. I really need it ;;w;;
