Today I want to show you another of my fan art drawings inspired by one of Holozing's creatures. Next I will share with you how I painted a semi-human version of Xolobis turned into what I consider to be an exotic dancer from ancient Egypt.

Hoy les quiero mostrar otro de mis dibujos fan art inspirados en una de las criaturas de Holozing. A continuación les compartiré cómo fue que pinté una versión semi-humana de Xolobis convertida en lo que considero que es una bailarina exótica del antiguo Egipto.
To make this drawing, I took as a reference the colors of the creature itself and some sketches of bodies of semi-human beings. This is how I managed to obtain the design of a half-dog girl, which rests with a relaxed pose in front of stone columns. I hope you like it.
Para realizar este dibujo, tomé como referencia los colores de la propia criatura y algunos bocetos de cuerpos de seres semi-humanos. Así es como logré obtener el diseño de una chica mitad perro, la cual descansa con una pose relajada delante de columnas de piedra. Espero que les guste.
Step by step // Paso a paso
The first thing will be to draw the silhouette of the girl, and excuse me for going straight to the line art, but the concept sketch part is extremely ugly and boring. Normally, I usually draw the outline of the body next to the hair, but this time I forgot to export the first image and I was already working on the continuation of the hair, which sometimes I draw strands that I end up erasing.
Lo primero será dibujar la silueta de la chica, y disculpen que pase directo al line art, pero es que la parte del boceto conceptual es extremadamente fea y aburrida. Normalmente, suelo dibujar el contorno del cuerpo junto al cabello, pero esta vez se me había olvidado exportar la primera imagen y ya estaba trabajando en la continuación del cabello, el cual a veces le dibujo mechones que al final termino borrando.

After the initial silhouette, I drew the other elements of the body along with the accessories and the few clothes I put on her. Don't blame me, for that, it's inspired by an Egyptian exotic dancer, so they don't usually wear a lot of clothes. 😅
Luego de la silueta inicial, dibujé los demás elementos del cuerpo junto con los accesorios y la poca ropa que le puse. No me culpen, por eso, está inspirado en una bailarina exótica egipcia, así que no suelen llevar mucha ropa. 😅

But well, after adding the details to the hair and ornaments, I went on to draw the eyes and other facial elements. The final part of the line art was to add the background elements, which is composed of two stone structures and a full moon just behind the head. I wanted the structures to look old, like ruins, and I wanted one of them to look like part of a construction, while the other one just looked like a piece of stone. That is why, even though the images look the same, if you look closely you will see that they are not.
Pero bueno, luego de agregar los detalles al cabello y a los adornos, pasé a dibujar los ojos y demás elementos faciales. Ya el final del line art fue agregar los elementos del fondo, el cual está compuesto por dos estructuras de piedra y una luna llena que queda justo detrás de la cabeza. Las estructuras quise que se vieran antiguas, estilo ruinas, y que una de ellas pareciese parte de una construcción, mientras que la otra solo se viese como un pedazo de piedra. Es por ello que, a pesar de que las imágenes parecieran ser iguales, si miran a detalle verán que no lo son.

With the line art ready, I start filling in the spaces with the colors I had already pre-selected. I always consider this step as one of the easiest, as those who have seen my drawings before will know that I don't usually use complex color combinations. In fact, I really enjoy using gradients and filters on the drawings.
Con el line art listo, empiezo a rellenar los espacios con los colores que ya había pre-seleccionado. Este paso siempre lo considero como uno de los más sencillos, ya que los que han visto mis dibujos anteriormente sabrán que no suelo utilizar combinaciones de colores complejas. En realidad, disfruto mucho emplear degradados y filtros sobre los dibujos.

After coloring the girl and her clothes, I move on to create the background. For the background, I will use a gradient of two colors that evoke the tonality of a full moon night, the darker color being the one at the top.
Luego de dar color a la chica y su ropa, paso a crear el fondo. Para el fondo, utilizaré un degradado de dos colores que evocan la tonalidad de una noche de luna llena, siendo el color más oscuro el que se encuentra en la parte superior.

The lighting and the shadows I will work on them separately, and it's not because I'm going to use some new technique, it's just that I had to separate them into two sections so that the areas I was working on can be seen well. That's why in this step you will see how I first worked on the highlights and the shiny areas of the girl's hair and ornaments, and then moved on to the background elements.
La iluminación y las sombras las trabajaré por separado, y no es porque vaya a utilizar alguna técnica nueva, es solo que tuve que separarlas en dos secciones para que se vean bien las áreas en las que fui trabajando. Es por ello que en este paso verán cómo primero trabajé los reflejos y las zonas brillantes del cabello y los adornos de la chica, para luego pasar a los elementos del fondo.

When giving the shadows, I focus more on the character that makes the focal point and darken even more some areas, highlighting the tights he wears on legs and forearm, which I forgot to mention at the beginning 😅. I also finely shade the regions where the limbs meet and also darken the color of the ornaments to with the airbrush blur the edges of the reflections and thus achieve a better finish in the illumination of the metallic areas. After working on the shading of the girl, I moved on to the background and finally I finish with the eyes, which I left for the end, as I was not yet clear how I wanted them to look.
A la hora de dar las sombras, me centro más en el personaje que hace de punto focal y oscurezco aún más algunas áreas, destacando las mallas que lleva en piernas y antebrazo, las cuales olvidé mencionar al inicio 😅. También sombreo finamente las regiones donde se unen las extremidades y también oscurezco el color de los adornos para con el pincel aerógrafo difuminar los bordes de los reflejos y así lograr un mejor acabado en la iluminación de las áreas metálicas. Luego de trabajar en el sombreado de la chica, pasé al fondo y finalmente termino con los ojos, los cuales dejé para el final, pues no tenía aún claro cómo quería que quedasen.

As a last step, I export the finished drawing in PNG format and from my phone's gallery I apply some filters to accentuate the colors. By the way, due to the dark tones of the colors I used, I didn't use the accentuate function as such, but rather I just increased the saturation a little. And that's how the drawing I show below is ready.
Como último paso, exporto el dibujo terminado en formato PNG y desde la galería de mi teléfono le aplico algunos filtros para acentuar los colores. Por cierto, debido a los tonos oscuros de los colores que empleé, no utilicé la función de acentuar como tal, sino que más bien solo subí un poco la saturación. Y así es como quedó listo el dibujo que les muestro a continuación.
