Hey there, dear readers! As I embark on my second blog post, I can't help but wonder how long I'll keep counting them. But this week, I've been on a quest to find my creative community, exploring different blogs and seeking places where I feel right at home. So, today, I'm excited to share some fan art with you! I've seen some incredible pieces in this community, and they've inspired me to showcase my own work. Let's dive in!
Ta-da! Feast your eyes on my version of the Forest Healer and Wrackoo. I've always been drawn to characters that already exist because it lets me imagine their stories as if I wrote them myself. To bring this character to life.
The process
To bring this character to life, I started with a rough sketch, envisioning a woman and a raccoon. Then, I used a round brush on Procreate to add the clean lines.
Next up, I added flat colors and shadows to give depth and dimension to the artwork. It was all about capturing the mystical vibes of the forest. Finally, I focused on the finer details, refining the facial features and adding intricate elements to make the Forest Healer and her Wrackoo companion truly shine.
After adding lights and shadows, I added color to the parts where blood flows more: elbows, hands, nose and cheeks and ears. That gives it a nicer look.
Finally. I created the background and made this regular racoon into Raccomon!
I'm a huge fan of anime, illustrations, manga, and comics, so being able to share my artistic interpretations with you fills me with excitement! Fan art is a way to connect with our favorite characters and let our creativity run wild.
