Fan Art: Healer of Light and Xolobis. With touches of watercolor!

Hey, Hey, here's the @lacochinaensalsa!

I was lost, really sick. But I have been creating an illustration for Holozing for a couple of days. I love drawing, however, lately due to my health problems I have not been able to dedicate much time to it. Beyond that, I was seeing some posts about the new creatures, or at least for me they were. So I wanted to make a Fan Art of the Healer of Light accompanied by Xolobis.

For this illustration I wanted the Light Healer to have short hair (I love short hair), but still similar to the original character's color. Xolobis was definitely a challenge for me, I hadn't really thought about it, but it's my first "dog" as such that I draw. I hadn't drawn for many days, I felt so good doing this illustration, and it helped me think of something different. Despite my days without practice, I wanted to integrate light details and watercolor touches that have given a beautiful touch to the overall composition. I'm happy with the result.

Let's quickly see Drawing process:

I started as always with a general sketch, quite rough. Then I create the lines in a more precise and clean way, alternating with the use of the eraser and for the outline I use a brush configured by me. After having the sketch as I wish, I move on to the coloring stage. I usually do this stage using the paint bucket tool. This helps me to quickly establish the base or flat colors of my illustration, each color goes on a different layer.

Next I go from color to color making details in a layer called a clipping mask. This process is one of the ones that takes me the longest, because even though each color or layer has its details, these between them must turn to the same "type" of result and there must be homogeneity between them. In the clipping masks I usually use different brushes, to add lights, shadows or textures, as well as color variants that help me to stop my illustration from being flat. Among the brushes I have used are: Airbrush, watercolor, round brush, light elements, blur. I also used some layers like linear light, soft light.
